If you like the outdoors its paradise. We don't have mountains, but the hunting, fishing, hiking is peerless. Great art/science museums in the Twin Cities. Music/art scene is always top notch. Just hang out in NE Mpls for no cover live music. Vikings - Twins - Wild - Lynx - TWolves - Loons, teams in every major sporting league. Winters have gotten better the last few years. Spring, summer and fall can't be beat.

Nature is nice, parks are good, nice music scene. The culture can be a big adjustment. Minnesotans are incredibly passive-aggressive & allergic to conflict. My main complaint about Somalians is that they're non-integrative and prolific welfare abusers. I don't live in MN but my city does have an area where they seem to concentrate (spoiler: its where the public housing is).
They don't have a lot of interest in adopting mainstream American cultural norms and have a religion that encourages as many children as possible. Put them in a country where tax and welfare benefits correlate with how many dependents you have and they consider themselves living in a goldmine. They all have like 7 children per couple in a 2 bedroom apartment, are all on every welfare benefit program available and neither parent seeks regular work. If anything its under the table or part time so they can bet max benefits. Meanwhile they drive around in a brand new Chevy Tahoe.
