It's on of the better eu capital cities, for sure worth spending a few days in. As the other guy said also visit Cascias(Beach town) and Sintra(comfy tourist town with a bunch of castles). They are botu an easy train ride . There is some stuff to see in the city as well, and a nice night life scene with some cool bars.
One thing is if you look british or american, you literally can't walk 50 feet at night without someone trying to sell you """hash""" or """coke""". At first it was funny but eventually it got annoying
We're full. Go to the Azores or to rural continental areas instead

Happens to the locals too. And yeah those gypsies are not really selling drugs
As Bifanas do Afonso was amazing, but because it is top of trip advisor peak lunch time it is packed, so go at odd hours. it closes early. assume there are no seats only a counter or nearby bench to eat.
2.70 for a stewed pork sandwich
I'm staying in Cascias for a week next year. I'm gonna rent a motorcycle and explore the national park w/ multiple historical buildings to the north for 2-3 days then explore Lisbon for 4-5 days. I have another week after and I'm not sure where to go. I was going to go to Porto but I'm guessing it's just going to be just like Lisbon and i would rather see more countryside. I'm interested in going to areas to instead of Porto. I'm thinking the Monchique region near the south coast or a small town on the Douro River. Looking for a spot to relax enjoy the vistas and drink a lot of wine.
I live there and the tourism industry completely ruined whatever originality the city had in the past decade
the old stuff is still worth visiting I guess
honestly it's a fun town, and it has a unique vibe with the way the sun reflects the light from the river into the city but don't expect too much
I thought about doing lisbon to porto by train with stopovers in smaller rural point of intrest, theres a prt railpass discount, anyone else heard of it?
Ive been to lizbon 2 times, porto 1 time, madeira 2 times and azores 2 times, i like portugal and have friend in porto, but lizbon was probably least intresting place, beside being close to sintra.
Food is good, plenty of fun stuff to do, weather is excellent, getting around is cheap (uber rides only a few bucks), service workers speak English, and personally the most important thing is the cost of living is sensible as a tourist. I never felt like I was paying too much for shit, which happens almost every day in the USA. If you saw every city in the world I'm sure you would enjoy a few here or there more than Lisbon, but nobody can say Lisbon is bad, or even average. It's safe, clean, beautiful, fun, and relaxing. Good amount of shit to do for a good price. Hard not to enjoy your time in Lisbon
i'm not just because of how bad that crop is
its too hilly for a fat person
Good! No Ameriblob tourists
shithole
Not enough blacks and muslims.
in other words,the superior choice
Decent city for 3 days. I think the best is outside Lisbon though (Cascais, Sintra). Eat the desserts. And drink wine.

no national parks near cascais lad
the only national park in the country is Gerês in Minho
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protected_areas_of_Portugal
nta but he's right, the only National Park is in Gerês, the other ones are protected areas but it's not quite the same
Damn you're right
Porto is way nicer and more lively than Lisbon. Lisbon is like the bronx, Porto is like Manhattan.
>Cascais
Land of the aristocratic families. Do stay there and ruin it as much as you can
Full of junkies
comfy
lots of poop on the streets

How is the cooming?

do something else while you're there
