i love the channel islands. i've thought of moving there myself.
if you are from the uk or have a visa that allows uk residence you can move to sark but if you want to buy a house there are restrictions. some places can only be bought by locals (people from sark families), some are openly available.
there are only a few shops and also famously sark has no cars. there are just tractors and a bus. it's only tiny so that's not really a problem
>population ~500 >probably just like any shitty small town, but on a tiny island so you have to take a ferry to go anywhere else >can’t even drive your car around the place >few jobs available locally >next to no nightlife or dating opportunities at all >even if you’re fine with all that you’ll probably never be fully accepted as a transplant
>no tourists
What.
>not moving to Herm

Just go to Mackinac island if you hate cars. Plus in mackinac you get to ride snow mobiles around in the winter, even kids get to school this way.
Only interstate highway with no cars allowed
