Off topic (not really), but how realistic is his mode of travel? I'd love to travel without paying for accommodation, but I also don't want to be raped by a homeless man in a park at 3 AM
>to get paid
The guy is an autistic weirdo and not your usual attention hungry social media homosexual. He never monetized his videos and he kept deleting them and reuploading once they got too many views for his liking
yes it's fake, notice how he always went somewhere that was essentially a tourist spot with infrastructure for cheap accomodations. One huge larp and people jerked off to it for years.
I really doubt that its fake. The train-hopping and prison-island videos werent fake, but were obviously far more outlandish than what he did in Europe.
as a vagrant you have 2 options, benefit from the fruits of human settlements or go live in the woods and larp as a caveman spending weeks to build a mud hut like that primitive technology guy.
Not that hard. There's plenty of other people youtuber who document similar ways of travelling. All you need is a bivy bag and a sleeping bag, luxuries like inflatable mat and pillow will help comfort. To avoid getting raped, just be stealth about where you setup; it's easier in less populated areas or low crime areas like Japan.
Like most other zoomers, he’s looking back on the digital content he farmed from his traveling experience, and has realized how violating it really is to have all these personal experiences bared to the world. We live in the era of travel where the only fulfilling experiences are the ones we tell no one about. I’m sure he’s still traveling but it’s no mystery at all why he’s given up posting.
yeah kinda sad. Everyone just traveling to have photos on their instagram, not to actually enjoy the experience themselves, but to show everyone else they are
After being robbed in Mexico City and the fact that it wasn't a money making thing for him means he's probably done with it. Top tier content. Once popular like his video camera man channel was he goes away
>save $150 on not booking a hotel room >but have to spend 2+ hours every day roaming around to find a suitable bush on the outskirts of town >then spend 2+ hours just to get back to the tourist center, and then make it back to your sleeping spot at night time >then spend 1 hour evading hotel workers to slip into a bathroom to shower and wash teeth >look homeless so most restaurants won't even let you sit down, so you have to subsist entirely on bread and hummus consumed on a bench >have utterly no time left to do any of the sightseeing but sardonically dismiss it because it's for normies anyways
I hope you guys realize it's just a funny gimmick for videos.
I traveled this way for many, many years. My family was very poor growing up so certain behaviors that seem crazy I just never questioned. What you have to understand is the massive dopamine hit a poor traveler gets when he finds a hack for the way things are “supposed” to be done. To the point where you subconsciously structure all your behavior to get those little satisfactions. Steal enough food from the hostel breakfast to eat all day? Get a free coffee from the staff break room in a museum? Best vacation ever! It’s not that I *chose* to walk the 8 miles from the airport to the city to save 4 euro on the train, the point is it never even occurred to me that there was a choice.
Now that i have money i look back on all the times I missed out on once-in-a-lifetime experiences because of this behavior, but you have to understand that when I was, for example, sitting outside the Alhambra eating plain tortillas and laughing at the people who’d paid for entry I was genuinely happy, as happy as dopamine can make you. I relate to every choice Vagrant ever made in his videos.
I will add that in this era of postmodern detachment, I believe hanging out in a hotel stairwell for 4 hours waiting for staff to leave is as valid a way to enjoy an old European city as walking around like a zombie snapping photos.
One of the happiest periods in my life was after I got evicted from my apartment and lived in a shitty motel for several months, going downstairs every morning to get their shitty coffee and a breakfast muffin, and just wandering around in a haze all day. There's like this moronic primal part of the brain that enjoys "living on the edge" and I still don't get it
You guys are fricking stupid. How could vagrant have possibly faked the videos? Why would he have faked them? >never monotized >risked life to film Black folk looting >train hopped >went to prison Island >saw a nice lamp X2
None of this makes any sense. Were the people vagrant interacted with actors? How bout the gay Muslim French men who were fricking in the park? Sure there is probably some stuff he didn't show like when I would shower at hostels. But did you really want to see everything vagrant did? You guys are losers who never travel.
It was confirmed on twitter that he got a qt persian gf and moved to the levant
Source?
his wishful projections
It came to me within a dream

news flash getting anymore via plane will have you start somewhere with modern infrastructure

It's doable but not very fun and you'll just be exhausted the whole time from shitty sleep

Sitting around in hotels and restaurants is the same waste of time and you hardly leave the tourist bubble.
