Look at the big Baustelle in the middle of the city. You are two years too early.

Go to one of the Biergarten. South Germany has s tier beer.

    >What to do?
Mostly the same as in other big cities, it has nice parks and is pretty put together. If you have the smallest grain of interest for cars or their history, the Mercedes-Benz and Porsche museums are pretty elaborate and have a lot to see. In general there's good museums and art exhibitions. The festivals (Cannstatter Was'n) are also quite big and fun (rivaling the Oktoberfest in some metric I forgot, but not price and overcrowdedness), but I suppose you won't be here then. It probably pays off to look into current public events, considering the large American population in the area, I bet there's English language information available. Stuttgart is also the "Hamburg of the South", offering lots of night life and red light activities, I heard the jazz club is good. It's a costly place, but if you can afford it, it's a nice city. I usually only ever go, to see current movies in English, being originally from the area.
    >landmarks?
It used to be fun to go up on the tower of the train station, I'm not sure, if it's open right now. The tv tower is pretty nice for the view over the whole valley basin/city. I already mentioned the car museums, but I think they qualify as landmarks. There are many nice castles in and around Stuttgart, usually free to visit. With a small to medium train ride, you could go see natural sights like the lake of constance, swabian alps or black forest, or maybe the cathedral in Ulm.
    >booze?
You're missing the wine festival by 10 days, there are plenty of bars/beergardens between traditional and modern. It's also always nice to pick up a beer or Radler (if you're feeling like something light), trying different kinds and just having a drink in a nice park or place with a good view.
    >women?
    they're everywhere
    >can you get laid?
Sure, but assuming you're an average male burger, your chances are probably comparable to home, maybe higher, if you're in cool traveler mode and meet other tourists

    I hope you like it

It's germany. Either go to a brothel, or go to a disco with girls who are 16-17 and really impressed by you being an american (or whatever) and have sex with them while they are drunk. Then leave and never come back.

Might not be your proudest moment, either way, but those are legitimate options

I lived in Germany for 4 years and never really liked Stuttgart all that much besides the Christmas market and volksfest
