>tfw live on the northeastern coast
>tfw flying to anywhere interesting is a BARE MINIMUM 7 hour flight
>flying to asia is basically an entire day's worth of flying
This place is travel prison. No where interesting within a 7 hour flight and the best continent to travel you basically have to waste 48 hours round trip in a sky pod.
but muh road trips
This is so true man. Don’t get me wrong I love doing road-trips up to montreal driving on 87 and hitting cool towns or going up to Maine but it’s either waste an entire driving, sit in the worst train for 11 j hours, or spend an obscene amount of money for a flight for relatively short distances. Then on top of losing 2 days just for travel you are relegated to basically 2 weeks of vacation time at most places. Don’t cope with muh SWE job that allows me to take off whenever vast majority of Americans fall into 2 weeks range and this is for even most white collar jobs, and watch them get pissy and passive aggressive because of letting muh team down and picking up slack. If you are an actual high iq hustler who doesn’t mind working 60+ hour work weeks than sure this plave is good for you, but with inflation basically rendering anything below 125k a year pretty much useless to live in your own in most places worth living now I’d rather just have the social safety nets of europe that allow me to take a month off and just bum it at home with my parents and around my social community.
ESL goofball.
The entirety of the US is a travel prison. Unless you're into the great outdoors US destinations have nothing to offer in terms of history or culture and it's so fucking big and empty in-between everything you HAVE to drive or fly for painfully long periods of time.
At least the west coast has easy access to Asia.
stfu you dumb cunts. Eastoids are closer to LATAM and Europe. Westoids are closer to Asia. this is basic knowledge, go get your dick sucked by a tattooed blue eyed brown girl with bangs in Argentina or stay at home belly aching you stupid cunts.
I saw this exact same retard-tier post about California a couple weeks ago. Having a huge country you can explore is the world's greatest blessing, it's not a "prison". The US passport is valid for travel to well over 100 countries. It is very easy to save up money for travel in the US. I can fly to the Philippines for the winter with about one month's work savings, and that's with me not even trying to save.
the only thing good about the US is the national parks where you can get away from other americans. In terms of culture/people/cities it's a dead end
Nice cope, 3rd worlder
You're pretty much right for travel purposes, but it is still the best country to live in for affordability (if you aren't at the bottom of society) and unironically muh freedoms.
>Travel to an identical overpriced shithole... On le other side of the country!
No thanks. I travel to get away from this shithole country
It's 1 hour to Canada, 4 hours to Iceland, 6 hours to Rome, and 3 hours or less to Mexico or Caribbean. It takes longer to go from California to Hawaii.
God so many dumb fuckers on this board how do you even live without choking on your own saliva
Go west dude. I’ve been in Denver for 2 years but im gonna do Seattle next. Seems like the promised land for some reason. Walking out of a major metro area and immediately being able to chill at a park by the shoreline seems kino
> Walking out of a major metro area and immediately being able to chill at a park by the shoreline seems kino
I do this shit all the time. It is kino. I can walk to downtown to my office, to the beach, and to a forest with hiking trails all in 20 minutes. Capitol Hill

Disney World is 2 hours from nyc what else do you need?

>really interesting shit, whether it be outdoors or urban, is never more than a 2 hours drive
>the only place in the country where things are located closely as if it was a European country
>quick hop over the border to Quebec and the Maritimes
Quit crying. There are many places in the US that wish they had this convenience, and still have super long flights to Europe and Asia.

You're joking, right?
Where the land hasn’t already been claimed by someone. Florida is a massive stink marsh land full of crackheads. The beautiful blue springs have been taken.
how friendly is the east coast for RV camping? My wife and I both work from home and plan on moving to either VA or PA. We're seriously considering buying a nice trailer camper and setting up a satellite internet connection and just roaming the entire east coast.
Not very. There's little dispersed RV camping compared to the western US and while there's a lot of RV parks in places like Florida and the carolinas they tend to fill up with boomers and canadians and charge high prices unless you're going in the off season.
Also I couldn't even fucking imagine working from home and living wherever you want but choosing PA or VA.
So far VA and PA seem to be the best bang for the buck. WA, CO, CA, etc. are way overpriced at the moment. Plus if the WFH opportunities dry up I'll be close to decent job opportunities. Coming from Texas it's a huge upgrade since this state sucks ass.
I'm open to suggestions though.
>>tfw flying to anywhere interesting is a BARE MINIMUM 7 hour flight
That's how long it takes to get to Europe from the east coast
What the fuck are you whining about
>interesting
Even worse anon, it’s a pussy prison. The US is a prison in general.
the fuck does pussy prison mean?
Cope phrase for losers that can't pull pussy in the US.
If you think that's bad, try being from Saskatchewan
A realtraveler knows it is worth the pain
