Travel is so fricking expensive at the moment

I've been trying to wait for prices to come down but I don't think I can wait it out. The only time I live is when I travel, the rest of the time I am a shift worker and shut in.

Japan is crazy expensive right now, Europe is too. It's fricking fricked.

Based. I’ve been “waiting” to go back to Thailand since March 4th 2022. I didn’t start officially counting the days down until 484 days on this app. I have absolutely no life except when I’m able to travel and frick hookers. I work 12 hours a day 60 hours a week.
      >how do you spend your time
I say the same things over and over on trv, smoke newports on my balcony while sipping squirt soda, play ball blast on my phone, read works of literature, and watch YouTube videos

I “celebrate” the end of the workweek by going to Walmart and buying two palmeros frozen pizzas which are enjoyed on my two days off. By the time this is over I will definitely be a different person. Watching the change of seasons two different times as a spectator…

You work sixty hours a week and can't afford to travel? Even at a typical semi-skilled wage of 20 USD/hour, that's 5600 USD/month gross pay. If you can live off 2000 USD, a perfectly reasonable sum for a single guy, you'd save around 2000 USD every month. Six months of work, that's 12000 USD in your travel fund. One month of travel every six months, 12000 USD to live in luxury and frick the hottest hookers on the planet.

          *sigh*
Listen you little fink, I arrived with no plan in Denver, 2k in my bank account, and an endless reservoir of resolve on march 6th 2022. Since that time I’ve
          >maxed my Roth twice and will do it again in 2024
          >have a 6 month emergency fund
          >will probably throw another 10k in a brokerage
          >will have an ADDITIONAL 20k to blow in Thailand.

Now that I have the emergency fund I won’t have to wait so long (next time). Most homosexuals simply don’t have the discipline to do that

Fly to Vietnam. High quality airbnb apartments ($300) with pool/gym/view, superb food ($.50 beers, $2 meals), petite girls (are you fat?) , stunning nature, motorbike ($50/month)

Life like a king with a budget of $1000/month

Don't believe me? Check airbnb in ho chi minh City for example and see what you get. When you're there, rent without airbnb and save another $100 or so after on monthly basis. Talk to locals, what's not in the western part of the internet and easily available is still dirt cheap.

        Anonymous

Thailand got heavily commercialized over the last decades and in turn more and more expensive and also less adventurous (which always means less opportunities overall)

So in conclusion Vietnam is cheaper, also the country with the least amount of obesity, cheap in big cities, dirt cheap once you go more rural and local.

I can recommend to fly to HCMC, rent a motorbike and drive all the way north. If that's not your think, fantastic overnight trains where you can get drunk with locals and backpackers alike while seeing the country.

Best decision of my life, I've gone from a 5/10 to a guy with a kinda harem here and from the food and walking and working out (because here is something to finally live for) somewhat in the 7-8/10 territory when it comes to the perception of petite Vietnamese teen girls, and that's all I need.

They're cute, petite, and most are at first conservative. They don't jump into the bed with you, it can take weeks and is even understandable as most are virgins or had 1 Partner at all. But in the pro side, if you're serious so are they, and they're very loyal and honest, especially once you meet her traditional parents. She won't cheat on you.

AND most importantly. So I've been to Vietnam for four weeks, it was grouse, can confirm I had some decent sex there but sadly it wasn't with teenagers. Any tips on accessing them, dating aps wasn't working. VIETNAM is also a super cheap flight for me...but I don't want to go straight back. I am 82 kilos and 6ft and fit in the physical sense, must be ugly though as I mentioned I don't have sex. In Australia my choices seem to be: fat girls, single mums ( also fat) or some asians...so yeah. I am not fat but everyone else is.

The yen is literally at the cheapest compared to USD as it has been since 1998. Everything in the country is effectively 40-50% off right now compared to at every other point in the last couple of decades, if you're exchanging USD. I don't know wtf you're talking about, it's extremely cheap right now. Maybe the flight itself is more expensive than it used to be, but that's it.

    >I've been trying to wait for prices to come down but I don't think I can wait it out.

The prices are not actually going to come down. They never do. What has happened recently is realignment of high- and middle classes. Usually happens every 20 years and so. Those professions that provide the middle- and up experience have had their salaries increased along with the prices (actually more so). So for those of us that picked the right career path, things continue the same as before. Normal for this shift is that, at the beginning, there will be more lower class people than before, but soon as things realighn, middle class starts growing again and people can return to travel. But the prices won’t come down.

They went down a bit in last 6 months, at least in euro. They used to cost minimum 1200dol and now you can find it as low as mentioned 850dol, even less from some less popular places (700dol from budapest), just book them 6months in advance or when theres some type of cuts.

In currency yes it's about 13% cheaper but my the flights use to be

$800 Full service airline to Aus.
$500 in low season or as a bargain.

Remember those return free sales from Jetstar?

Now it's fricking $1200 to get over there on fricking Jetstar and Europe prices to get over there on any other airline.

Combined with Japanese hotels being in hot demand and charging more the game is lost comprehensively before you even arrive.

Just for some clarity I had tickets in 2020 from Australia to Japan for $350 AUD, just coming over with my backpack for a week and back again. THAT WAS RETURN.

      Lowest price right now $850.

IRREVOCABLY fricked. Yeah you save a few yennies on your ramen, big whoop look at the hotel prices, food was never expensive in Japan anyway.
