Traveling is stupid. Imagine spending thousands on flying to another place for a week or two when you could literally play video games instead
Only boomers travel

My brain is too strong to be captivated and dominated by a mere simulation. My attention has always been grounded in the fundamental realities of life; getting to know my surroundings, finding shelter, acquiring food, and covering country when my instincts (or immigration authorities) tell me to move on.
As I grow older I've stopped playing video games and movies. Its just a waste of time for me. I'd rather go to the gym, work, study or do something productive.
He's right you know
But you have to get it out of your system before you can really understand this
This guy gets it
I consider myself lucky I don't have any inclination to travel the world. America is perfect Why would i want to leave
I cant, not when I have inner demons to battle and comfy games to play
ryanair let's me fly to another continent for the price of an indie game
>fly to another continent
what other continent can you fly to on ryanair
Video games are so expensive with all the DLCs and add ons and shit that I feel I should be putting 1000s of hours into each of them, yet I don't want to play them that much, so it's not worth it.
Keep playing games then and let me know who wasted their life when you’re washed up and worthless at 45
Absolute boomer way of thinking lmfao
Tell me whats so important about setting foot on another country's soil
Your inner world is empty so you look outside. I look outside and in comparison to myself, it's traveling that's empty. I have better priorities and when I want to have fun I'm going to actually have fun, not go to the Bahamas like an npc and sip some sugary (poison) alcoholic beverage (poison)
nice job slipping up and revealing your hand? Is that what travel is to you, going to some overpriced, bullshit resort where everything is done for you? Well my fellow American, it can be so much more than that. Yeah don't waste your time at resorts or on cruises. Seek out good deals that include places you find interesting. Someone gave you the wrong idea about travel.
>when I want to have fun I'm going to actually have fun
doing what, exactly? drinking beer and cruising the town streets in your car? dining out at Applebee's?
travel gives you social and cultural capital
video games do not
posting pictures of Rome to my instagram and talking about it to my friends makes me a higher prestige individual in our group and people will think more highly of me
whereas if I post video game screenshots nobody will care
that's how society is and I will keep travelling
Having friends is a waste of time
Pretentious homosexual
Who ends up with the high paying job, wife and kids, own house, nice car, and is respected by people in his social circle?
Hint - it's typically the pretentious homosexual
You may think this way but the vast majority of people don't. Also why would I tell people I actually know this? For me travelling is both fun AND rewarding in this aspect whereas video games are mediocre fun at best
I have more respect for guys that sit at home and play video games for their own pleasure than the types of pretentious homosexuals who travel for these reasons
Wow you are so high and mighty, annointed one. Here, have free reddit gold courtesy of yours truly.

Most people realize that video games are a waste of time somewhere in their early 20’s.
Quitting video games was the single best decision I made in my entire life.
I still play games, but I would caution anyone against picking up an MMO or any online game that you can sink infinite hours into.
>Only boomers travel
And they fail miserably at it.
They get confused at the airport, they get tired and have to sit down while touring historic sights, they can’t climb the mountain or hike to the pretty waterfall. You’re right, it’s fricking cringe. And it reaffirms my belief that the best time to travel is when you’re young.
These people didn’t have video games but they definitely had TV and movies and sports and plenty of other bullshit to keep their mind busy and now they’re trying to catch up, but coming way short.
Well, you know, you can do both.
You can also watch anime, browsing internet, drawing, et cetera and travel.
If you like games, you can travel to games conventions, find people with the same interests and make some friends.
It is a waste of time but what I’ve discovered is that there are certain wastes of time which are more leisurely than others and in their leisure they’re more worthwhile
>Only boomers travel
Actually facts. I don't travel usually by choice though.
Yeah and those grapes were sour anyways, I don't even want them.
You can do both, moron dorker.
