I am but I can't imagine having anything in common with people who don't use their vacation to visit cool and unique places
They are fine if you don't get your hopes up or buy into the marketing like a low iq moron. If you have a family or get in on a deal with friends they can be a good getaway. Had my friend get married and do a cruise if they did a 4 person booking they got a huge discount, wasn't bad for 7 days 2 port cities, for ~400 total with the drink tickets.
Pretty easy to get some pussy if you don't care about banging anything over a 7.
I do, I have high standards.. Makes sence though, so it's just a cool fest
The only thing I like about cruises is being able to have sex with MILFs and GILFs who want to cheat on their husbands (or have husbands who are literal cucks who enjoy being cheated on in front of them).
>who don't use their vacation to visit cool and unique places
what kind of elitist shit mindset is this? I'm highly doubting you're actually the social type because you sound insufferable.
I enjoyed it when I went but I wasn't the one paying so I was content to just chill and eat

Too much of a pain in the ass to manage family while visiting places, if I'm traveling with them it's better to just have a low stress all inclusive type thing. Save the adventures for myself.
>not the "social" type
I travel full-time and the one question I can't stand is, 'Where are your from?'... I'm so fucking sick of being asked this that I can't help but vibe anyone asking it. I get it the most from cruise ship type tourists. They're polite and well meaning to take an interest in a stranger. But I want to fucking pull their teeth out every goddamn time these boring fucks open small-talk with the fucking eyes rolling back in my head question. I can't fucking stand it anymore. I'm social, I'm cordial and polite - but fuck me I don't belong among them, for their good and mine. I love the idea of being on a cruise ship, and a gentleman of leisure, but I have limits... I also can't look at their calves because the onset of early death through gluttony begins to work itself up in grotesque symptoms around the ankles and calves.

never been on a cruise before but i may look into doing one in the caribbean just to visit all the small islands and shit in one go
Cruises are basically times where adults can be far away from anything, shit that happens at sea tends to stay there. Lots of people often bring a +1 or 2 random friends who could be single along because of package deal price breaks, quite a lot offer packages starting at 4 people.
You are on a floating 2.5 star hotel with shit all to do other than drink and sit in the sun, people get into the fucking around mood really damn quick. Usually you'll have 2 days or something at a port to dick around in a near tourist trap for 12-14 hours before going back to sea and doing fuck all.
They are mostly fine for people who want to laze around, let their kids do shit in a controlled area, and be 'off the grid' in terms of things.
The only thing I like about cruises is being able to have sex with MILFs and GILFs who want to cheat on their husbands (or have husbands who are literal cucks who enjoy being cheated on in front of them).
^this I believe is the main selling point for "cruises". Its for degenerates to do some sick/heinous activities on those ships. Cruise ships are pretty much just a hotel on the water and there isnt much to really do. They do stops on tourist areas so you can continue doing degenerate shit. If you get an illness or get injured on the ship, good luck as there have been horror stories of people not getting the medical help they need. For a while now they're known to be where Boomers go for swingers parties
I am not on antidepressants and have an above average IQ yet I've been on 4 cruise vacations and had a good time. It's not my preferred way of travelling and it has it's pros and cons but under the right circumstances, with the right people, cruising can be good.
Either this is bait that I’m falling for or you are actually an absolute fucking low IQ baboon gay.
Listen carefully you waste of bandwidth. Some people go on cruises because they want to get away, lay out, read a book, enjoy the sun, and not give a fuck for a few days.
What a fucking retarded you are. Go back to /b/ and enjoy chud posts
They sound like low energy losers to me. They should try hitting the weights and gaining hobbies and finding jobs that they actually like..
I don't understand the appeal of cruises. Isn't it something for old people?
It is

It's a floating resort that's cheap, can go to other countries easily, be away from light pollution to see the stars etc.
It's a thing of preference like, why do some people prefer rail travel vs a plane, and vice versa, to go from A->B.
An Alaska or antarctic or Europe cruise might be interesting but in the Caribbean there is nothing to look at. Just go to a resort or something..

I only been on a cruise once when I was little(even then I was bored) and I don't remeber the start being visible due to the lights from the ship..
I'm a millenial and would rather hang out with boomers. Millennials are all fat and lame and just want to eat, drink and complain boomers are much more active and adventurous
I've wanted to go on a cruise for a while. Been looking at Seabourn, specifically one of their Antarctic experiences. I like it because suits or tuxedos are required after 6pm... as it should be.
I can't say a Carnival/Princess/etc appeals to me.
I've been on that exact ship twice.
One other time on Harmony, which is a sister ship.
Cruises are by far the best way to do a vacation.
Pay a set price, about $1,000pp/pw often less.
That's it. It's all included. Drinks, food, alcohol, entertainment. It's all there and included.
You get to relax, eat some of the best food you will ever fucking have, and visit a new country every day.
The ships themselves are something else.
The Oasis class, which Wonder is part of, has literal fucking parks inside them.
I've been on 6 cruises total, and always had a good time.
If you ever wanted to go on one, do it.
Just don't cheap out and go with some garden gnome cruise line.
Royal Caribbean, NCL, and Virgin are the best for the average person.
Celebrity, Viking, and Princess are nice but high-end. Like, you need to dress nice high-end.
Disney if you have kids.
Fuck any other cruise line. Especially Carnival.
It’s boring but you will never be out of work and the professional community is bro-tier. Grind a few years at an A&E firm as a noob, get your PE, then settle into a comfy design lead position.

Depends entirely on what you're doing. Designing and engineering can be profitable, but installation and maintenance is retard-tier, there's no profit to be made doing that and you're better off panhandling for money. It only makes sense to do that if you're selling other facilities services.
1000 bucks per person? I though it was a few hundred
In Ecuador I can get a beach front condo for a month for 200 bucks and 10 bucks aday car rental and 1p doller a gram coke. So that BTFOs carribiean cruise line philosophy. Also I don't like drinking often. I can get drunk once or twice a month. I can't imagine the mindset of getting drunk every day, I wake up not wanting it.
As for euro cruise lines... Idk, I bet u can see more sights for cheaper. I go to the gym every day, I'm high energy and I love my job so I don't need a break to relax, I need adventure. The beaches the cruise will take u is crowded. When I was in Ecuador the beaches were Pristina and not crowded. I came across an army of like 10,000 crabs and laid down and let them crawl over me..
U sound like a mech engineer
>t. High energy EE thats actually passionate about his job
U are right about the food and I do like to gourmet out but I can skip on the good eating while vacationing since at home I eat dry aged steaks and good home cooked meals on the regular.. I would rather see sights and excperince culture and fuck women(not from the American pudgy panhandle...). Can't imagine a 8/10 or above going on a cruise...
Has the original poster been on a cruise? If so I assume they/them to be the anti social type. There’s no better deal than cruising- hotel, food, entertainment, travel for less than 100 a day? Sure- some ships or cruise lines are lower quality than others, but unless you have an IQ lower than the temperature you can probably navigate around those sailings. I’ve been on carnival about 10 times, Royal once, princess once, and celebrity once (last week actually). Carnivals food is iffy these days but it’s by far the most fun. If the food sucks, have another drink and get some pizza.
What's your guys' recommendations on cruises for a mid 20s guy? I like to socialize and don't care about living in squalor as long as the foods decent and the drinks are tasty.
>be me >get on cruise with family >uncle sneaks in premixed gallons of vodka + OJ and vodka + cranberry in his luggage for maximum alcoholism >caribbean_vacation.exe >socialize with people from the cruise and meet tons of them >pool is freezing cold despite being in caribbean weather >get laid with a girl from the shitty dance club >shows on board are either mediocre as hell to alright, the magic show and band were ok but everything else was awful >dinner was good, lunch was ok, breakfast was nothing special >the stops on islands are shit, you have practically no time to do anything and there is zero real benefit besides better bars (if you know where they are before you get off the cruise) or a beach day >laughed at the retarded 22 year olds who thought they'd actually fallen in love and would be together despite the girl having to go back to mexico after the trip while the guy returns to US
It's a good deal if you're a hotelfag who travels abroad and never leaves the hotel for any reason, looking to just get fucked up and hit on whoever else is on board. If you want to actually travel somewhere, it is the absolute worst way to go about it.
Royal Caribbean for better quality stuff (on the lower end of budget concerns), Carnival if you want to up the squalor and odds at getting laid but get shittier food/drinks
If you go with friends it's a blast. I did a seven day Mediterranean cruise and had a great time. You get 6 destinations in 7 days, which you can use as reference to plan future trips if you come across a nice city. In the evenings you get drunk with your mates, rinse and repeat.
got off of a cruise 2 weeks ago, there was no vaccine requirement and no masks
did a different one in november, same deal
a different one last may had a vaccine requirement and a negative test was needed, but once on board, there were no masks
what are you on about
When I see cruise ships all I can think of is the fact that they dump raw piss and shit into the ocean whereever they go. Shitting on dolphins, manatees and whales with impunity.
I'm with you. It's a floating suburb with more casual sex and no cars. Almost everything cruises have to offer can be found on land for the same price and cost of opportunity.
Cruises are fun if you’re not an antisocial retard and can live without a PC for 5 days, but definitely are only for couples or families. If you’re single find a singles cruise or expect to be hanging out alone a lot.
I've done 3 cruises in total and have had a blast on each one. That being said, if you're not the "social" type, you're going to have a bad time.

you are taking cruises too seriously, just have fun
flirt with girls, drink
I'm in my late 20s, I go for girls 18-24, I can't imagine young women going on cruise ships..
you are spending too much on cruise tickets
the cheaper the cruise the more fun you will have
it should be like living inside of a rachet night club run by Jamaicans

That's because it doesn't happen.
The point of a cruise is to be drunk 24/7 and sleep with a 6 that’s it the whole thing
Never been on a cruise but I like the idea to visit more places, is it so terrible?
Some friends went on a cruise and ran a train through a girl. That's all I have to add. Happy cruising.
