Going there for 3 weeks in March next year. What should I do? I plan to fly into Ho Chi Mihn City, rent a dual sport motorcycle, and ride my way up to Hanoi, do the Ha Giang Loop, then fly out from Hanoi. I'm not against cooming in Vietname poosi, but I'm not going to seek it out either. I'm mostly interested in exploring a relatively cheap country.

this picture is fake
>t. Seething Mutt or Chink mad the Vietnamese kicked their asses.
> More than 3 million people, including over 58,000 Americans, were killed in the Vietnam War, and more than half of the dead were Vietnamese civilians
>3,000,000 dead asiatics
>58,000 dead Americans
Who kicked whose ass?
The Americans official goal, which completely failed, was to stop communism, not genocide uneducated farmers and children then run away. If the latter then yeah, the Americans really licked ass.
How many of those 3mil were the American's south vietnamese allies?
>20 years, superior weapons and a trillion dolalrs
>still can't win against rice farmers
The cope from you people is pathetic
Majority of the Viet casualties were from air raids, not from oh-so-mighty American GIs kicking Vietcong ass in hand-to-hand combat.
they hate this post because they know its true
vietnam is now capitalist and produces cheap clothes and beer for americhads and auschads
they lost millions of lives and millions still suffer to today of agent orange poisoning, no amouny of seething will change facts
It's clearly a model from a museum
fakes NEWS
Isn't it an exhibit in a museum?

I think it' da mannequin at Củ Chi Tunnels
It's real
>I plan to fly into Ho Chi Mihn City, rent a dual sport motorcycle, and ride my way up to Hanoi, do the Ha Giang Loop,
based
Have you been to Vietnam before? If so, what do you recommend?
no just think anything involving getting a bike a fricking around at your own pace is based
eat yourself into a coma
My appetite will astound the Viets
3 weeks to ride to hanoi? why bother rushing through the country like that?
What would you recommend?
Gotcha.
I’ve done Hanoi to HCMC and it’s a long-ass ride. Just the Ha Giang loop itself, along with Hanoi, should be a good week in itself to really get the most out of it. Might want to take it easy on an island and/or somewhere in the central highlands before doing the loop.
Vietnam is a wonderful destination. I love going there and have been many times.
Sometimes I dress like in super poor and stand on the streets asking for donations to get home. I actually do get money. If I do it long enough it pays for my hotel stay. It's like a free vacation! I highly recommend this for long term travel if you don't have a remote job.
go to japantown in district 1
Try to go to Khe Bang national park and ride through there. Insane jungle in the neck of the dragon. Go to Ninh Binh. Khe Sanh road to Laos is a pretty interesting ride. See the weird temples in between it all. Spend some time with the monk children at said temples in the middle of nowhere. You’ll regret leaving so soon. If you find a nice girl that things feel right with try to spend more time with her and be as present as you can be as it’s all over before you know it.
Ride more cautiously than you think is necessary through the small towns. God forbid you crash into a seventeen year old girl on her motorbike and have to spend six hours at the local police station figuring out if you’re going to a viet jail or if there’s an amount of bribe you and the family can agree on. Watch out for that big spider above the toilet in the police station rest room.
The lesson is simple: don't crash
>that tat
>that monke face
I want to vomit.
>present as you can be as it’s all over before you know it.
Very true. it's already been 6 years since i was riding around Phong nha national park with a beautiful French girl on the back of my bike. I blew it.
what do you do when your motorbike breaks down in the middle of nowhere?
That fear is the biggst reason I've never tried it
Is the food good in Japan Town or is it just a tourist trap?
Japan Town is based, it feels like a break from the third-world.
I rode an XR150 around the south of the country, your plan of riding all the way up and doing Ha Giang would be sick
The restaurants should be fine, avoid the bars and massage shops, those can be scammy
Vietnam isn't that great for cooming. Thailand, Philippines, India and Africa are much better.
>India
Careful anon, the poojeet mod might see this
cap
city girls really don't and the rest aren't attractive
I'm in Hanoi and getting lots of local poon but I'm teaching English (this unironically seems to be respected) and learning Vietnamese so I'm not just on vacation. I think maybe it's tourists they don't mess with, rather than foreigners.
Nêu tôi là một du khách, nhưng tôi có biết tiếng Việt thì sao?
Anh không biết, người đen của tôi. Bạn sẽ phải tìm ra, nhưng anh nghĩ bạn sẽ ổn.
you were replying to a pathetic gatekeeper
>nooo don't come here, our women don't like you
of course white men are desired
I'm a tourist but dress smartly when travelling in SEA. Its amazing how easy it is to stand out by making a modicum of effort unlike the other 99% in Chang singlets. Asian women and Asians in general definitely respond better and with more respect if you dress well. It requires just a little effort but spending $150 at Uniqlo seems to be beyond the comprehension of the average travelbro or aspie coomer.
Nice, well done bro.
My students are children, so no. I've waited to creampie a few of their mothers but haven't had that opportunity.
Spending 150 on clothes is going a bit too far and possibly even trying too hard in the eyes of Viet girls. You just need some basic comfortable business casual clothes that you can probably pay 50 bucks in total and look the same.
Much easier if you’re a viet kieu, friend a 6 ft+ viet. Northern viet genes.
Mother fricker slays in hanoi cause he speaks the language and girls think his american accent is cute.
>yassss slay queen
How many pussies did he creampie?
>I'm in Hanoi and getting lots of local poon but I'm teaching English
Are they your students? Do you creampie them?
check a youtube vid for what motorcycle traffic looks like in urban vietnam. then cancel your little plan dude.
>What should I do?
ride scooter in shoulder to shoulder traffic
eat rice
get the most ridiculously flamboyant suit tailor made in less than 24hrs for $40
eat more rice
take a boat ride on a river
go see a ping pong show
eat some more rice
>get the most ridiculously flamboyant suit tailor made in less than 24hrs for $40
TopGearmaxxing
I've always wanted to fly to Vietnam and recreate that whole episode
Vietnam doesn't have pingpong shows. I went to a ping pong show in pattaya and it was BORING as frick
You should get the frick out of Saigon the moment you arrive. Stay a day if you're into to their history as it pertains to the Vietnam war but that city sucks. Then go to Dalat which is nice, good party hostels, and then go to the top beach place Nha Trang (This all makes sense via bus they're close) and that's all you need to do in the South. But then fly from Nha Trang to Da Nang and use that as a base to go to the main party destination Hoi An or Hue (I've never been to Hue though). I don't go North because I'm just not interested in the culture or motorbiking whatever. I go to Vietnam because it's cheap and there's hot young western girls running around who are totally DTF.
>I’m a b***hy little russian manlet with the worst take on vietnam on this entire thread
wow please be more obvious ivan
I don't like partying or going to the beach and white women aren't attractive to me
so you’re a friendless albino homosexual ok got it
I spent 10 days in Saigon it was so interesting the hell are you talking about
I have 10 days too. Any advice? Going with a pal.
>saigon
where's that?
>Party hostels
Incredibly cringe, just go to a fricking club or a bar in your country if you're that desperate to simp for boring white bawds
It's over for white sexpats.
Vietnam is getting harder to stay on a tourist visa.
They're starting to deny visa renewals for expats doing infinite border runs. If you renew 3 or 4 visa 3-month renewal back to back, they'll start denying you.
You used to stay on the business visa scam, 1 year visa but they cracked down on that.
The new visa application page has too many questions. They gov doesn't want degen sexpats (english teachers) inside the country.
They ask many questions on the new visa page, such as "how many times have you been in Vietnam in the past 01 year" (to prevent chronic border runs),
"Intended expenses (in USD)" (keep poor begpackers out)
The golden age of sexpat teachers is over.
In addition they charge $25 - $50 for the visa. Bruh
Just get a proper work visa. You only have to renew it every two years and your employer pays for it
But it's getting more difficult for the work visa. You used to go to Vietnam and teach on a 3-month tourist visa and go for border runs
People have wisened up to sexpats. Viet Kieus are still treated like gold over there.
I’ve been teaching here over a decade and never taught on one of those tourist visas. Border runs are just for those who are unqualified.
Cope. I will never stop traveling to Vietnam, and cooming inside cuties.
uhh this will make expating in vietnam insanely better in the medium to long term, though
>now you get 90 day evisa for $25 without doing extensions
Depending on which passport you're holding. You can get 45 day visa on arrival for Thailand without filling a single form or paying $$$.
If you apply for visas back to back (like 4 times in a row while doing border runs) they'll deny the application.
>it's easier than ever, now you get 90 day evisa for $25 without doing extensions, visa approval letters or other crap
The golden run is over. Pre-COVID, you had smelly boer South Africans teaching english in Vietnam, doing infinite border runs. POST-COVID they have cracked down on english teachers. The TRC is hard to get.
It was piss easy to stay in Vietnam indefinitely on a tourist visa. Nowadays? Hard.
>wtf this is supposed to mean?
Back in the day, you can keep applying for visas back-to-back when your 90 day is up, thus you can stay in Vietnam for years doing border runs. If you try this nowadays they'll start denying your visa application and put you on the black list. The government is tired of begpackers and sexpats. The blame the boers for this.
Not him but I teach English here and one of my coworkers is a Boer tbh. He's the only one here I've met.
>In the 6 years I've been going to Vietnam
Sexpat detected.
>it is incomprehensible to the virgin chang that people may want to visit vietnam not for cooming purposes
I don't get it. Why would chinese people care?
I plan to go to Vietnam for a few months to just live cheap and grind a remote work project I have coming up. Anywhere that has accommodation + desks + food in like one building? Idk like a wework with room and board and a buffet? I'm not looking to travel around or do much sightseeing, just grind work and live cheap.
Just go out and buy some food, bring back to the hotel. Much easier than finding some special place. I recommend Sa pa for a comfy and serene place to sit and grind work.
>be mexican-australian
>visit family in mexico
>they are all short as shit
>have flip friend
>hes 6'1
>he told me the same thing
Why is it like this?
Idk i’m cambodian, i’m not even tall, i’m 5’11” but when I go back home it so easy to catch mires.
Western diet has more protein thus leading to height growth. The chicken, meat and cheese you eat is full of growth hormones they fed to the animals
Anybody know what the police background check for a work permit here actually entails?
you need a notarised copy of your own countries criminal record check which lists any or none criminal history. most first world countries operate this system.
Anyone in Da Nang? Doing a halloween party at The Trip 66
I'm planning to go from Vietnam to India. Getting bored of Vietland. Should I go? Anybody know what the cooming scene like there? I assume it's easier than Vietnam. Asking in this thread cause the jeetjanny.
I just used my awkward shitty Vietnamese to talk my way into bed with a girl who didn't speak a single word of English.
>all these coomers
The reason why you choose Vietnam as a cooming destination is because you got rejected by Japan and its beauties. You guys are such losers.
>japan and its beauties
keep daydreaming in anime, weeb homosexual
every fifth woman in japan has partaken in some sort of pornography
they have terrible, assymetric faces with messed up jaws and teeth
and they have a fake squeeling voice and fake 'cuteness' only søy homosexuals like you fall for
cope and seethe
Japan is superior
filthy betonamu
Actually the world is just way too globalized now. Japan, Korea, Taiwan. If you're not attractive then first world countries don't work anymore regardless of foreignness.
Thus, the third world where your status is that you have wealth, and wealth is objectively attractive.
Are you "proprio"?
What's a "proprio"?
it's like "dealio"
Anyone know of any cool gaming/tabletop/hobby stuff? Stores, museums, clubs etc
Which city?

Anyone else ever bring their Viet girl on vacation to the US? Mine is coming with me for Christmas next month. Hasn’t been out of the country before, or really out of the central highlands for that matter, so I’m wondering how she’ll adjust visiting the states.
Us whiteoids can live off another cultures food quite easily but Asians can't, she'll get homesick really quickly without asian food. My experiences were
>Have fresh rice everyday in a rice cooker
>Buy a big styrofoam box and insist that she has to fill it with asian food she wants like noodles, Chinese sausages, etc
>Don't assume that the stuff in the west is the same as east, shit like fish sauce and onions sauce for example tastes completely different so make sure you put that in your box
>She'll probably spend at least a few hours a day talking to her family back home, this is normal.
>Try not to have too many stay at home days and always organize shit to do, even if she ends up hating half the things you chose.
I've done this several times (not with a girl from the highlands) but if you have any questions. That's all that I can think of off the top of my head.
Pretty solid advice actually. The weather change is gonna be a shock too of course.
Filled out the form online, waited about a week for an interview at the consulate and that was about it. About $200 though :/
>Anyone else ever bring their Viet girl on vacation to the US?
What? How'd she get the visa? Was it expensive and time consuming?
I think it just depends on whether or not you, and the person, have a stable job and can show that you have a valid reason to return.
How do you feel about cold weather in Vietnam?
It's only in the north, and even then it isn't really that cold unless you're in the mountains
And even then, it isn't that cold, its like northern california in the winter cold.
I’ve had more people try to scam me here than any other country in SEA
1. Girl who tried to sell me a $100 a month phone plan, she said it was the “cheapest”
2. Guy tried to sell me a simple lighter for $10
3. Taxi driver told me he didn’t have change. The trip costed 60k, I only had a 100k bill
4. Taxi driver overcharged me on grab taxi, 54k trip turned into a 70k trip, I only found out when I checked my grab history
I know it’s only small amounts but this is 4 times, and I’ve only been here for 5 days
Are you in a very touristy spot or what?
I'm white and don't speak a word of viet and didn't have anyone try to scam in a month I'm there.
Literally had taxi drivers in the middle of the night being ultra fair and surprised I tipped well, had a prostitute telling me I actually gave enough when I thought it wasn't and looking for more money to give.
Places like Italy were rough especially when you're stuck somewhere, and I don't even want to talk about Morocco which was a nightmare 24/7.
How did you meet ?
dropped my wallet in the greasiest nastiest back alley of Saigon scam area and some wannabe gangsta Vietnamese kid chased me down to give it back to me
It’s a shame it won’t stay that way forever
Soon it will be like Latin America and all gringos will just be walking ATMs
>54k trip turned into a 70k trip
bro that is less than a dollar difference
Guys idk who to turn to I need help.
Okay I went out on a date with a girl in Vietnam. Really Nice date spoke good English, insisted on splitting the bill when we finished out meal, when I wanted to pay she snuck out and paid the entire thing, and I am getting strong vibes she's not a gold digger.
Very sporty, martial arts champion, plays music.
Literally perfect.
Here's the thing she's 19 and below 160cm, I feel so uncomfortable, I mean she literally ticks so many boxes, but at the same time she is so much younger and looks young too, and doesnt have disposable income while I do while insisting to Split bills.
So 1. I get anxious because she looks so young. 2. She gets paid so much less yet doesnt want to spend my money so my options of what I can do and where I can take her is extremely limited.
Ohh and although she is legally an adult she just looks SO MUCH YOUNGER than me.
Not posting any pictures but she looks young.
I am 27. Forgot to mention. With a full beard so from a Vietnamese perspective I look 30. I look older than I am and she looks younger than she is. 8 years difference, but someone might assume 10+.
I know this board is not meant for this exactly, but since I posted here a lot before going it came to mind.
How negatively would this be seen by Vietnamese, if I were to continue going out and work through those issues I mentioned, should I just cut it off
That's not a big age difference dude, when you're 35 she'll be 27.
Younger woman relationships are also much more socially acceptable outside of the west where women usually earn less than men do and women are expected to find a man who takes care of them/their family.
Like I genuinely like her.
This is only the 2nd girl I have talked to in my life that will let me ramble about random stuff and listen with intent and actually back me up or counter me while staying engaged in the conversation.
>counter me
Never rude. She is extremely polite about it But she respectfully tells me she disagrees and tells me why she thinks I am wrong, but at the same time she ends up agreeing 90% of the time anyway.
I dont know it just hurts, I am 27 and this is the first time Ive had a crush. I should have experienced when I was a teen. Thats what worries me, it doesnt feel normal. I should go on a date with a girl who is more jaded, because I honestly dont think I deserve someone so young and optimistic.
I had never felt so much motivation to do something.
what exactly is your problem, that strangers might think something that is in reality totally okay?
if ur going to brag just brag homosexual
>she is so much younger and looks young too
stop dating 19 year old you freak. settle for strong women who are 30+ year old and above
>SO MUCH YOUNGER
Dude you talk like you are a 67 year old white-haired grandpa robbing the cradle. Just chill, 18 and 27 is perfectly natural and traditional. If you are a good person and treat older members of her family with respect, I'm sure they will accept you. Of course guys in the street will be cracking jokes about your appearance, or what may or may not be going on in your bedroom. It's all harmless fun, not hostility or hatred. Go out drinking sometime, make a few friends, let it be known that you are a cool guy who is going to be sticking around, so everyone might as well be your friend.
You really need to cut off the self-sabotaging thought patterns ASAP. The toxicity is what will seep out and damage your relationship.
I seriously doubt this would happen after he meets her family and all.
There are a lot of guys with no partners in SEA. Most of them aren't "seething" or bitter, they still have their optimism.
>my girl isn't a debt ridden, masculine, cellulite hag with a feminism degree... I can't bang her, she' a... LITERAL CHILD!!!!1!
the amerigolem, everyone
Its not
1.
Do I tell you all the small little clues.
1. She showed up with very little make up.
2. I wanted to meet up in district 1 in the party street, but she got lost on the way because she had never been there, so I had to pay a grab guy to help me pick her up because she couldnt find the place. I was at.
3. She asked me if we could leave because it was too noisy, and she brought me to a very quiet Korean BBQ place in a quiet part of the city. She said her family used to go eat there when she was younger.
4. I walked her home, she showed me where she practices martial arts, where she went to high school.
5. She is begging me to find a different place outside of District1 somewhere safe because she says its full of gangsters there.
6. I asked her if she would prefer to have a date where we go out and eat at a restaurant, and I pay for it or alternatively I offered her, that I will move my booking but only if she comes on a cooking date with me and I find an apartment with a working stove so she can teach me too cook, and she agreed to the former.
Idk man I read people pretty well, I will dip any second any red flag for gold digger gets triggered.
Ohh and the girl is a machine she ate more meat at the korean BBQ (the one she paid for in the end). She said its bulking season and she needs to get stronger and bigger to beat up girls with 60kgs. Which is just about the cutest thing I've seen a 48kg girl say.
I am being genuine here, there is almost 0 shot she is a Fraud, but she looks so young and I know she is of age and her birthday, but when I started even thinking about this trip, she was technically still a minor... and that scares me.
I dont want to hurt this girl, I will take it slow with her, and I wouldnt even think of sleeping with her on this trip, but I want to come back in April anyway.
So idk I just feel so reassured about her, except the age and the looks.
Guys she is so pretty, but she looks younger than she is.
I will not lie emotionally she might be 20 or 21. Physically she might be 18-19 wont go into specifics to protect her anonimity, but she could definitely pass for 16-17.
But yes I am very concerned what Ricels think, because they might lash out. And I literally told her this today, that I think the age thing scares me a bit, but I still like her, and I would just like to move slow and figure it out.
Ohh and she doesnt drink soda or alcohol to stay fit for martial arts.
>I wouldnt even think of sleeping with her on this trip
Bro come on.
>A shit ton of ex-military oldgays in their 50s around here have a 20 something fresh
I am also insecure that people might think thats what this is, theres no language barrier. I am not a native English speaker, she isnt as fluent as I am, but actually not that far from how my English skills were at her age.
And she really genuinely tried to learn a few phrases in my native on our first date, I am having fun, but then I looka at her and realize ppl might think shes younger than she is, she is VERY pretty, but not Hot because she is so young looking, but I feel like she will age into that, but even saying that makes me feel bad.
The thoughts that go through my head are; I cant show photos of her to my family and talk about her because when they see a photo they might assume she is 16, so I would need to date her in secret for 2 years before even showing a photo of her to anyone so she gets older looking
Why do you care what they think? Also she won't get older looking. Asians look 16 until they turn 50 and then they turn into grey haired grandmas overnight.
She will, I know asians stay young looking but not like this. She will definitely look at least passibly older to at least pass the "is she a minor test" in a year or two. She smiles a lot and has huge dimples, those are going to turn into smiling lines for example
If you don't frick her like your life depends on it she's going to realize you're an insecure loser and ghost you.
She's not stupid and probably knows she's pretty hot but probably is westernized enough to dislike asian men, especially working class asian men who are honestly pretty trashy, and asian dating norms in general. Frick her or she's going to move on the next farang.
I am genuinely sorry for blogposting, but I cant talk about this to the people I know.
>keep small notes with you
Being able to make exact payments when required is a good idea in any cash-dominant society. I usually break my large bills at a bank after making an ATM withdrawal, after having had plenty of difficulties in the past getting change for them at businesses - even convenience stores and supermarkets often balk at making change.
Anons who have traveled to Vietnam, what percentage of Vietnamese have basic English fluency?
I'm very touristic places and hotels maybe 50% know the basics in order to do their job.
Outside of this they know maybe 5 words.
A lot more than in Korea or Japan.
>"Ricels" are butthurt that you're dating "their" race
Cringe take. The natives are fricking like crazy because there are so many lithe, gorgeous women in SEA, as seen by their population size. It is the sexpat tourist who must go around the world to find a lover who is perpetually enraged.
ill be back soon
cant wait for all the delicious fricking food and cheap almost legit passable clothing and no i dont buy it from those shitty markets
one place the burberry polos can be sold on stockx lol. but i dont like the name branded stuff its just good quality at a fraction of the price
another nice thing is all the accessible food from other asian countries. salivating at the thought of the next taste of toyosu tuna.
Is it enough to visit Ninh Binh for a day trip from Hanoi, or should I stay there for 48 hours?
Lots to see and do in Ninh Binh, especially if you have a motorcycle. If you do, 3 days would be better
In HCM city rn only to realise the middle is experiencing flood . That was going to be my main destination. Any suggestions? got two weeks in vietnam
do what locals do and deal with it, wade through it
Name some good food to try that isn't banh mi or pho.
Banh Pho
Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio with the spring rolls as well
if youre in hcmc take your pick https://manmoi.vn/menu
Not really Vietnamese but nothing beats beef offal hotpot and a dozen beers somewhere comfy at night.
Guys I've been loving HCM just walking around for days going on a few dates.
I dont like the Tours they are so fake and artificial, but I dont wanna be in HCM for my entire trip, been here for 6 days now just walking around not getting bored. 8 days left.
I dont wanna take a lot of trips to random turist spots across south Vietnam because I hate that crap.
Whats an interesting place to enjoy to just walk around in that I could visit.
I cant write a scooter so, keep that in mind, if I had one I would just drive off in a direction til I found something cool
Can't you just take the train to random places and see a bit more of the country?
I do that and enjoy it a lot.
Some places are a bit rough but it's still enjoyable and make good memories.
Look on google maps some 20-50k city that's accessible by train and has a few hotels. In 20 minutes max you'll find one.
Be ready to be approached by many people and have kids look at you like you're an alien.
It’s SGN you commie loving homosexual
My impression of vietnam is that it's great for food and coffee etc, but there's very little to actually do.
guys, should we tell him?
tell what, it's true, and don't say cooming, you can do that anywhere
*trying not to laugh*
guys, let's not tell him
*slight smirk, regain control, straight face*
Your reading comprehension is terrible, you fricking moron.
What is /Vietnam/ drinking these days? There are a tonne of new domestic brews out I'm yet to try.
lipovatan tongkat ali energy and tiger soju
d2 above the highway if you need somewhere "quiet" for vietnamese standards
Thái Văn Lung walk those those half open gates is a nice eye opener if youre a pretty white boy at night, just walk up and down all the alleys after around 8/9pm lmao
the area around 21 Nguyễn Công Trứ, Phường 19, Bình Thạnh, Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh 700000, Vietnam (a decent cheap sushi place) is becoming a nice newer less seedy jap area
really depends what youre into, you really can find anything in the city
just search for the city name and the viet words for whatever you want on ticktok, facebook (with google) and instagram
yeah i really enjoyed hue
the drive from there to da nang is fricking beautiful, bonus points if you go through the nicer villages. you have to get a private tour or do it yourself.
theres shit tons cheap of hidden beach restaurants
Im currently in Vietnam for a couple months, and not expecting to spend it without the company of women. I’m wondering if it is not out of the ordinary to approach girls in coffee shops and public transport etc. if not socially acceptable, what would be the most effective way to be around local girls - ideally excluding night clubs.
>Im currently in Vietnam for a couple months
What you doing there?
Smoking cheap cigarettes and playing pool
livin the life, anon
Pretty dialled, although would be better with a b***h on my side
Are you sure it's just not how they look when they are outside. My family visited my girlfriend and I in VN and they were terrified at how unhappy and unapproachable I looked when we ate out considering I'm always happy at home. I never really noticed that over the years I adopted the "Look angry when you are outside with your s/o" from other Vietnamese men without noticing,
Thread would be better if you asked, what should I watch out for?
Bye dweeb
Flying into Da Nang and taking the train from Hue to Hanoi. I have 6 nights to split on Da Nang, Hoi An, and Hue. How many nights should I spend in each?
I can't understand this train to hanoi meme. you can fly from hue or da nang to hanoi.
It has soul, it saves you a night of accomodation, and I'm also stopping in Binh Dinh on the way north.
Hoi An should be a day trip to get custom fitted clothing and nothing more. It’s a factory tourist frickpit of influencers and europoors.
Hue City is comfy and the imperial city is beautiful but also just like everything else in Vietnam it’s frustrating how ratchet it is, everyone plays the worlds smallest violin for “muh poor” but it doesn’t take a penny to do basic landscaping and housekeeping. Oh well it’s literally Mexico in Asia so whatever
Da Nang is mid as frick unless you know some locals, I had a blast but only because I was hanging with really cool locals at super secret “cool kids only” places
it takes a week or two to make custom fitted clothing, not a day
and why would you want to make them in a tourist trap?
It takes less than one day you stupid fricking moron, ask me how I know
the only thing that could take longer is custom dress shoes in which case it might be two days
it’s not a tourist trap it’s just a gay social media influencer meme place which unfortunately also happens to be the current global mecca of custom made clothing
>It takes less than one day you stupid fricking moron
less than a day to have some crap which sits worse than clothes from a cheap shop
it takes at least 3 fittings to make a proper suit/shirt, and several days between the fittings
>it’s not a tourist trap
the whole old town is made for tourists, they even charge money to enter some old ordinary houses
"not a tourist trap"
I literally went to Hoi An
got fitted for 3 suits and a bunch of other stuff
went and fricked around for 3 hours
came back for a fitting
fricked around 3 more hours
came back for a fitting
fricked around for 2 hours
and then picked up all my shit on the same day, and it all fits perfectly and is well made. why are you so offended by this? you an emotional italian or some shit?
>big gay hand bridge at asiatic disney world
that’s a tourist trap
>a town
that’s not a tourist trap
This is the correct take. Hoi an is pretty but there's more foreigners than locals. Da Nang is a such a good time, you just have to leave the comfort zone and hang out with locals and/or expats.
Mui ne and da lat
are there any foreigners operating tourism business?
They exist but barely rank above begpackers in terms of quality and honesty. Don't try being one and don't bother giving them any money.
why not? for example, i know a guy who does boat tours in thailand, owns 2 small boats, living life real well, does not want to return. something tourism related targeting foreigners could be done in 'nam, no? plus a white doing it would seem more trustworthy
Thailand is different, you can make an honest living doing that sort of thing because the tourists are there and it's easy to own and run a business. The only way to make money in VN would be more or less scamming people while paying bribes left right and centre to keep it in operation.
damn, that demoralized me to heck... not sure what do
Don't listen to that moron, he's probably just a salty lifer. It's not easy like Thailand but it's doable, no idea what he's ranting about because I've met plenty of honest guys who are making a fair bit.... there are shady people like he explained but the are exclusively in places like Bui Vien where they can rip off people with no knowledge, if you want to do it just go for it.
alright, thanks man
dont trust any moron
how it can be easy in Thailand when foreigners can't own tourism related businesses?
are there similar restrictions in Vietnam?
I am staying in da nang for 3 days before going back to hanoi. I am thinking about visiting hoi an, can I get a grab to there and back or I should look for an another transport?
moron
Just do it. The motorbike is the way to go. It's easy to find other people doing a similar thing at the chiller non party hostels as well to make little day trips. It's way safer getting through traffic than you'd imagine too.
How is the cooming scene in Vietnam? Mainly just want massage and HE rather then FS.
There's a whole forum called internationalsexguide for this stuff. Go ask questions there instead of summoning the coomers to sabotage another thread.
not enough time
dual sport is kino move
ruins and pagodas are gay just do one of each and call it good
durian is disgusting don’t fall for it
eat where everyone is eating
drink your coconut and ask to have it whacked open afterwards so you can eat the meat
Saigon is fricking awesome
Hanoi sucks it’s full of chinks
Nha Trang is full of cowardly russian boys hiding from the war
stare at the women’s perfect legs and perfect hair
if a asiatic starts laughing at you for no reason (literally just the sight of a normal sized human makes them laugh) or if they start loudly talking shit right in front of you, just start laughing at them in an even more mocking tone and pretend to be recording a video of them on your phone and making fun of them in English and they will shut the frick up (took me a week to learn that)
van vu is a goddess and she doesn’t really exist but you can come close
make sure your maps app goes into “bike mode.”
don’t ride at night in the rain if you can avoid it
buy a good rain suit not a $2 poncho
Agoda lies sometimes
always give max tip ($2) for grab rides since they are all like $0.50 anyway
don’t smoke when your homies come back to the table with balloons
don’t take three consecutive balloon rips while standing up
>if a asiatic starts laughing at you for no reason (literally just the sight of a normal sized human makes them laugh) or if they start loudly talking shit right in front of you, just start laughing at them in an even more mocking tone and pretend to be recording a video of them on your phone and making fun of them in English and they will shut the frick up (took me a week to learn that)
dude wtf
did you have a legitimate question you smelly redditor?
lad could elaborate more himself indeed
Any suggestions for Dong Hoi?
you people should get out of Vietnam and visit Japan or S.Korea instead. Way better infrastructure and services, plus a lot cleaner.
Japan has many good "services", if you are looking for it.
I really, sincerely, prefer the third world to the first. I'm happier and more chill here. I wish I knew how to explain further.
>I really, sincerely, prefer the third world to the first. I'm happier and more chill here. I wish I knew how to explain further.
Less money worry, perfect for a broke begpacker like yourself.
Or, the people have more motivations and values than just money.
Not a begpacker. I live here.
Currently in Hoi An after 2 months of shitholes and places with basically only Korean tourists.
Forgot white women were so fat lmao. I can enjoy a good ass but it's still weird.
I made some research and just learnt vietnamese are the least overweight in the world or very close.
I went to some hooker last week and she was scared of my dick. Not like "you so big I love you give me tip" but couldn't look away and her face getting more and more concerned as I got hard in her hands.
She took it easily anyway because that's how vegana are made, but then I asked if she didn't get white guys but said only locals and koreans.
I'm from a very rich european country and I feel the same. It's like I actually feel alive when in shit holes and not getting more and more lazy and clinging to comfort and habits like at home.
>I made some research and just learnt vietnamese are the least overweight in the world or very close.
vietnamese women are fat when you measure WHR, they don't have ass and their breasts are small therefore BMI is very misleading
>vietnamese women are fat when you measure WHR
No they're not. They barely have meat on. Vietnamese dish portion is very small. They have heavy fat shaming culture and they society is based on image. Even the pregnant Vietnamese don't look fat.
yes they are, most of the fat goes to the belly which looks ugly, you can have a girl with no ass, slim legs and arms, and fat belly
WHR over 0.8 means fat, over 0.85 is obese
>I made some research and just learnt vietnamese are the least overweight in the world or very close.
Poor country + heavy fat shaming culture.
All the girls are skinny or normal weight. I love pounding their tight little pussies. Wish they had bigger asses and breasts. The "gymer" girls are have nice asses.
What are these women like, personality wise?
>What are these women like, personality wise?
Depends. Some don't work, they just leech off a sugar daddy. Some have 5 foreigner boyfriends that give her money every month. You want to find a hot girl, who went to university, and has a job.
If she's hot, she might also be entitled. If her dating profile is full of expensive dinners, roses, namebrand hang bags she might be a gold digger.
Best to date college girls and office workers, they're "normal girls". Avoid girls that work at the bars or night clubs.
I might one who was an entitled c**t and I regret not dumping her earlier.
>What are these women like, personality wise?
Right, you asked me how are they personality wise. They're very basic. They work, watch youtube, nice to be around, tight little pussies, you be nice to them and they'll be nice to you. But they expect you to pay for ALL the dinners, that's how things are in Vietnam.
This may be true but at the same time, Vietnamese fatties are god tier, speaking as somebody who's into that shit. They're not that rare.
I get what you mean and I can't completely articulate it. I don't think I could handle the shit conditions of India, but southeast Asia has a nice balance. It's just really nice to go and do stuff without every step of it being regulated. Sometimes the west feels like a cattle corral and you can never just chill and slum it. In Vietnam, I can grab a 15,000 vnd beer at a convenience store, crack it open and walk across 8 lanes of motorbikes and it's chill. Some Karen would have you executed for that in the states for something so minor. It's freeing to not have the constant societal pressure and rules associated with every last single thing you can imagine. And people are happier for it.
Low IQ cultures seem happier and more chilled in general
Don't want prostitutes. Disgusting.
when you moved for long term, did you bring a long a suitcase or just went with a carryon bag? im thinking its wiser to just buy clothes one needs over there
Not sure who you're talking to but I only made one trip here and it was with a large backpack. I didn't know when I came if I'd stay or not. But yeah you can get whatever you need here. I don't find buying shit like clothes to be difficult at all and I'm a tall thằng Tây.
if you stay in the south you don't need warm clothes and can fit all your clothes in carryon
any anons want to meet up in nha trang in january? someone business oriented perhaps? add me on telegram - montecristo369
How is Nha Trang? Is it full of Russians or Koreans? Do you like it better than other Vietnamese beach towns?
wish i knew, im only going there in january. from what i read it has a lot of ruskies and chinese. im going there with a family friend, an older guy, speaks russian and german, i speak english. plan is to create something there
Just went there for a week back in August with my gf (Viet). We stayed in the middle of the city rather than resorts, so no idea what that experience is like.
Noticeable amount of Russians and Chinese, but not overwhelming like e.g. Japan if you've been there. Nowhere felt busy enough that tourist crowds were annoying. However, we spent less time in the middle of the city late at night as we went to more local-oriented restaurants. I'd recommend joining on of the island boat tours or some of the private car tours to some towns around Nha Trang - a lot to see outside the city proper and will be less dense.
Check out Quán Hải Sản Thanh Sương: https://haisanthanhsuong.com/ for some good seafood when you go.
>pay for the evisa
>succesful payment! You are being redirected to the sellers website
top kek
what happened with that? Im about to buy the evisa too? How long are you going for?
I can't answer you, try again ESL bro pls
whats kekd about that? did you get the visa in the end or no?
Maybe the fact that it felt like buying something from amazon
first time applying for visa?
How likely is it that the security guard in the garage of my Hanoi apartment will run his mouth if I'm bringing different Vietnamese women home on different days? Is it safe to assume it's part of his job to mind his own business and not frick my shit up over here?
>Is it safe to assume it's part of his job to mind his own business and not frick my shit up over here?
Nope. He will run his mouth because Vietnamese people love to gossip, especially when he sees a smelly Tay bringing back women, could be hookers. He will talk to the girl in Vietnamese when he sees them or gossip to the management.
I'm an oldgay and so are the women in question, if that has anything to do with anything.
>I'm an oldgay and so are the women in question, if that has anything to do with anything.
If you're an old gay, he will still gossip that you're bringing all sorts of women to your apartment. You can try and be friendly with him, buy beer and squid package for him, that will shut him up. Maybe joke around, he won't rat on you. Maybe.
He's right. Furthermore, most security guards are peeping toms, Vietnamese or not. Befriending him will solve the issue though, as they tend to be restless and lonely.
where do i buy the visa ?
https://e.vnexpress.net/news/news/education/foreigners-teaching-english-in-vietnam-required-to-get-training-certificates-4686788.html
How will sexpat teachers recover from the new law?
Looks like it’s only a plan at this point and will only affect some teachers working entry-level jobs anyway
This means nothing more just that you need a tefl certificate and they won't accept you for just being a bong.
should one apply for a visa and then buy tickets or the other way around? i just contacted some random visa agency and they said to get the visa first before tickets.
>contacted some random visa agency
>said to get the visa first before tickets
how can one be so moronic? of course they tell you get visa ASAP because that's how they earn money
and why contact any "visa agency" when evisa is available to all nationals?
it should take less a week for a visa, but better to apply for it 2-3 weeks in advance
that's annoying thing in Vietnam
Thais are much better in minding their own business
so would it be alright to buy the ticket before you apply for the evisa yourself? can anyone apply for the 3 month multiple entry visa? Im from EU. Visa numbers not asked for when buying tickets?
first trip abroad?
no one asks for visa when selling tickets, no matter what's the destination
just get the tickets and apply for visa later
if you from EU check if you're eligible for 45day visa free entry
Just been in every country in Europe, China once, but didn't have to take care of anything there myself. Just my fear, maybe irrational, is not getting the visa in time for the actual date of flight. Latvia wasn't included in that 45 day visa free entry thing though..
some sites say 30 day max, some 90 day, I dont get it
Don't trust "some sites", look at what the actual Vietnamese government site says.
>Thais are much better in minding their own business
Be grateful that Vietnam allowed your old white ass in their nice country.
anybody knows whichever is better for crushing pussies between hanoi and saigon?
Sex tourism, yep, that's a report. No need to thank me.
>Saigon by far because they're way more westernized and open to foreigners
I've heard this meme multiple times but haven't noticed much difference
for paid pussy outside saigon it's much worse in terms of quality and price but that's also for locals
Anyone else ever bring their viet gf to the US? Mine’s coming for Christmas but wondering how she’ll deal with the food, weather, culture…
Nobody cares you burger munching moron.
Wow so edgy
That post wasn't even mildly edgy. It was just rude.
Gonna be cold as frick
Yeah get her clothing way warmer than what white people would wear for the same conditions. If it's below 40F she'll probably want a full on parka.
After 11 day my E-Visa is still in processing. Should I be worried?
No I don't think so, but their inconsistency in processing time is frustrating and nerve wracking. Just sit tight.
Just got it, thank you for your support friend. I can't believe it I am going to Vietnam soon.
Happy to hear it homie. When do you get here and where will you be going?
At the begining of january
HCMC - Dan Ang - Hanoi here I come.
It's Da Nang you dumb homie
Nevermind, I am so hyped
I've been living in Hanoi for a few months so maybe I can help you out here.
I have only just a few hours there before flying off to home but I appreciate it anon. I am spending more time at the south I want to have warmer weather.
North is best. You're fricking up.
me too fren, going mid january, exciting
We are going to soon overdose on bahn mi, fren
I hope theyre good, can't see them being that great tbh. Im going to nha trang first it seems
oh they are
ill be there next week too.
got a sick place high up looking over the river and the city
how long are you staying? im only arriving mid jan
a month have to go back for other commitments otherwise id stay longer :<
im only staying in hcmc the whole time. ive been all over before
where do you usually rent from? im thinking of booking a place through agoda or booking for first days of arrival and then see something on the spot so dont have to use intermediaries. seen a bunch of ads on fb expat groups too
Whatever you do, don't rent from/through other expats.
whys that? ive mostly seen vietcongs posting the apartment ads
Just use
https://www.nhatot.com/thue-can-ho-chung-cu
With translation on your browser, I think there's a filter where people rent month to month.
cheers
i just use airbnb you pay a little more but you have to be careful to get whats actually in the photos
they like cancelling half way up to your trip when they get a sale on some other website
prices on agoda are a lot higher than they have been as tourism is picking up. only book hotels through agoda is they are cheaper which they usually are not but its good to use for searching
I wouldn't trust airbnb in Vietnam: ton's of scams and 1 star reviews because of bait and switch, dirty rooms, etc.
Vietnam lacks Thai-style serviced apartments where you can get furnished room for month with cleaning etc.
Agoda is usually cheapest option especially for bigger hotels
>Vietnam lacks Thai-style serviced apartments where you can get furnished room for month with cleaning etc.
I'm posting this reply from my serviced apartment.
they exists but are extremely rare
Not in Hanoi.
can you give some links to good and cheap ones?
never had a problem using them so far but I guess you need to know the area already to avoid it
cheap and scam goes together
do your own research
>Vietnam doesn't have tons of good and cheap serviced apartments like Thailand
<not true! I'm posting from one, they are common
>where are they?
<do you own research
kek
>cheap and scam goes together
yes in Vietnam, but the whole point of getting apartment with monthly contract is cheap price, if the hotel costs almost the same it's way better because of flexibility
I may have misunderstood you. Serviced apartments are fricking everywhere here but if you specifically mean ones you can rent for just one month, I'm not sure. I live here. Anyway the gay you just replied to isn't me.
yes that's what I mean: monthly rental, full furnished including sheets and towels and weekly cleaning
not "12 month contract + bare mattress"
Everything you just described is widespread except I'm unsure about contract length. Might be worth looking at some Faceberg groups and asking some of the agents.
same
going alone?
yep
im applying for it in two days, i think you should be worried, from all the comments i read on fb vietnam visa group, it should max 5 working days
Staying less than 45 days doesn't require a Visa, right? I'm from UK. Rules seem to change all the time in Asia
you need a visa you dumbus
As a burger I can get a 30 day visa on arrival meaning I don't need to apply in advance, just show up and say "sawasdee krap homie, stamp my passport" and that's that. I can then extend another 30 days by paying around $60 at the local immigration office, but I think maybe you can get a 60 day visa in advance for less than the fee it costs to extend, so you should check your options if you know you want to go over 30 days. Maybe one of your fellow bongs here can give you more details than I can.
Oh mother fricker, my bad, I thought this was the Thailand general. Vietnam you definitely need to apply in advance but you can get a 90 day visa.
Seems like it's 45 days visa free for UK now. It must have changed because until very recently you needed an e-visa
Where do I go for a convenient STD test in Hanoi and how much does it cost? My pee hole seems inflamed.
because Vietnam isn't slave to American big pharma medicines and tests are cheap, just search for STD clinic
Google maps isn't very helpful here
How did you get it ?
I had a Bible study session with a girl I paid 1.6M, she was young and clean but spent a lot of time riding the interstice or her Bible raw on my bookmark and even put a bit of it inside.
I have a regular pastor at home and hope I didn't get something.
I got it by having sex with three different women without a condom. There's one in particular that I think is probably more likely than the other two to have an STD, but it can happen to anybody so I really don't know and it doesn't ultimately matter. I may not even have anything but if I do then a shot should clear me up.
3 weeks isnt enough to do the whole country + ha giang. You're spreading yourself too thin.
>t.lives in vietnam for 5 years
Please tell me I get get an STD test for less than $200 in Hanoi bros wtf.
where you are getting that price from?
Hanoi Family Medical Practice. The fact that it's in USD is a dead giveaway that I'm getting assfricked. I refuse to believe a Vietnamese person pays that much.
you can't use google translate and search for a local clinic?
moron lol
So help me out homie. Come on.
you want me to use google for you? lazy fricking moron LOL
I am apparently doing it wrong
start calling places and just ask bruh
I don't know where to call.
Found one for about $40
And weirdly enough, after all this posting, I'm negative for everything but my dick is still oozing
You deserve what you get for being a degenerate.
>what you get
What I get is more pussy than you. Cope.
I saw your posts today at /misc/, I highly doubt that you get as much pussy as you claim if you are on SighSee non stop.
I didn't claim any amount, except in relative terms. Also it's not very hard in Vietnam and you should pull the stick out of your ass, learn some of the language (this impresses them even if you suck), and try, instead of taking petty, smug pleasure when somebody else who's just trying to enjoy life has a bad day.
>I get more pussy than you
Having sex once every few months is not an accomplishment.
It would be for you.
>can visit for 45 days with my german passport visa free
>applied for visa today
>got it in 2 hours
Thank you based officer.
did they notify you by email or did you have to check through their site? I just bought it
They will send you a mail
ok, i hope they accept it, i wrote 90 days but in the return date selection, it was a few days less than 90, i hope thats not a problem
going for 3 months, thinking nha trang. thoughts?
What am I supposed to do in Ho Chi Minh City on New years?
fatboy slim is playing on the 30th but im not sure still either about the 31st
Holy frick, here in HCMC what looks like a ten minute walk on Google maps turns out to be an adventure involving dodging parked motorcycles, nearly getting killed crossing the road and getting stared by everyone cause I apparently booked in an area without foreigners.
I applied for an eVisa to stay for 33 days. The guy in immigration scribbled something I cannot read onto my passport. How do I know when I'm supposed to get out of the country?
Just leave whenever you want, and if anybody questions it, just point to the illegible scribble and say "the date is right there you illiterate moron"
>33 days
This is not a thing. Their visas are 30 or 90 days. There should be an expiration date for your visa on the visa itself, and surely this is the same date scribbled on your passport.
I am staying for 14 days and on the e visa they wrote 16.
Then I guess I'm moronic. I'll go kms now to redeem my family's honor.
That's what I thought and assumed I'd get the 90 day visa, but no. Now I'll have to get out of the country and get back in with a new visa, frick me. Went to a restaurant in Da Nang tonight and the waitresses were wearing mini skirts and refilling my cup everytime I had a sip of beer. It was awkward as frick and the food wasn't great.
there are no 30 day visas, there is just one type of evisa that gives up to 90 days, but you can apply for less if you want
