Tons of places have dollar oyster specials on a certain day or a certain time slot so take advantage of those if you're an oyster guy. The Daily Catch in the north end is a must visit as well, real hole in the wall restaurant (cash only) but the food is phenomenal. Bovas Bakery > MIke's pastry btw, cheaper and no tourists will be there as only locals go. The greenway is a nice bit to walk by and spend about 30 mins chilling by, maybe hit up a food truck if you want. It's out of the way but if you like rum Bully Boy Distillery is a thing and their blended rums are damn good. There's also usually a few bands playing so check out local spots if you want to see a show.
Allston is mostly where college kids live, it's a nice area if you want dive bars and to maybe try to crash a college party. The russian grocery store Bazaar is also there and it's a pretty kino place to get shit like a $20 jar of caviar and some incredibly good sweets for the plane ride out.
