What are the best countries for a white 19 year old American to attend university in as an international student for 4 years? Ideally I'm looking for a place where I'll be able to
>have a good experience socially in the university and in my free time
>plenty of attractive and good personality girls to meet
>engaging and good quality education
>not too globohomo while still having various opportunities for fun
Take a DNA test and go visit your land, if you like it you can study there and it’ll be very soulful
not OP but the uk isn’t sovlfvl at all
>Take a DNA test and go visit your land
>your land
Cringe as hell. You don't belong somewhere your ancestors left generations ago, where you don't speak the language and know nothing about the people and will always be known as an outsider.
surprisingly americans love to do this type of thing when they're 1/16 irish or something
Actually it is based and ancestral memory is real
>mon visage quand je ne parle pas anglais
no speaking spanish here
That’s not how it works in any country, retard.
Depends on what you want to study and how competent you are at foreign languages. If you only speak english just stick to the UK or Ireland.
I want to study something related to history or international relations and the only other language I'm competent in is Russian
Poland - try Krakow, Warsaw or Wroclaw
Thanks, will check out
>first thing mentioned is your own race
>not too globohomo
>I want to study ... international relations
yeah i don't think you're cut out for that kind of thing anon
>international relations
Bilkent? Learn some Byzantine diplomacy? It's an English-speaking university.
Eastern europe
If you speak or can learn Spanish the UBA (University of Buenos Aires) is free and supposedly very good
Somewhere in Italy.
>Somewhere in Italy.
Why?
Just stopping in to remind people that nearly all European universities that are free or very cheap are only that way for locals/citizens. International students pay, and are a cash cow for campuses around the world.
>t. Former university administrator in charge of international students and study abroad programs
The fact that you appear to think that this universally known fact is some sort of insider info is kekworthy
If I had the choice, I'd go to Lucca or Verona in Italy. The weather is better than in most of Europe. There is a reason why the whole continent vacations in Italy. They're both fucking gorgeous areas. Verona would have better job opportunities because of all the tourists and restaurants, and you'd be close to the mountains and the ski resorts. Verona is a fucking gem. It's one of the few cities I've ever visited in the world where I immediately would have moved there on the spot. But Lucca is pretty amazing too, and it would be cheaper, and it's close to the beach. You'd have a high speed train nearby in both cities for traveling around easily.
I saw someone mention Poland as a possibility. If you had the choice between Poland and Italy and money wasn't an issue, you'd be literally insane to do school Poland.
isn't italy super pozzed compared to poland?
What does “pozzed” mean?
Positive, as in HIV positive. Usually refers to places that are infected with woke mind virus here.
It's a slang term used by bug chasers, ie people in the LGBT community who deliberately try to get HIV because they find the idea sexually arousing.
Chud term for things that scare them

Lots of unis in Japan will admit students with just a submitted english essay instead of an aptitude test cause they are so desperate for people.
Australia looks fun but it’s probably just the American experience with more meth
would it be a good place to go to uni in tho?
Isn't the cost of living absolutely through the roof there, would probably be well out of the means of most university aged people to live there as an int student or am I missing something?
No idea about other countries but it‘s very comparable to the cost of living in germany, rent is a bit more in japan but food with the exception of fruit is cheaper.
Jap unis have higher tuition but still not too bad.
Also weak yen.
Belarus.
I'd say Spain:
Pros:
-Cheap (relatively to the US and other EU countries)
-Great chicks
-Great food
-Great weather
-Amazing culture
Cons:
-The govt is a bit woke
-If you don't speak Spanish and are not extroverted don't even bother
Learn Spanish and go to Argentina
Argentines are so retarded that they give free education to foreigners.
One of the examples of things their government pays for by printing money
of attractive and good personality girls to meet
What race girls you like?
instead of countries I would look at schools specifically. You will have plenty of opportunities to live and work in several different countries if your uni sets you up well to get a job in Europe.
>plenty of attractive and good personality girls to meet
true of any uni on earth, the only limiting factor is you and your autism
>not too globohomo while still having various opportunities for fun
Every uni has a pretty standardised level of globohomo, you will not get away from it.
However, maybe look into private unis in Switzerland etc. and you are sure to find utterly based children of eastern oligarchs (think former soviet states) who would also serve as a good network in the future. However they're mostly rich spoiled assholes who look down on americans
even if some exists everywhere, i think its fair to say the globohomo in western europe and scandinavia isn't on the same level as anywhere else in the world, same thing with whorishness and cuntiness for women there compared to other places
Temple University Tokyo
How does one apply?
If you don't know how to apply to college you shouldn't be going to college
happy fish
poor crab
Whats your ideal environment? If you like mediterranean go for Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa. If you like frigid contintental go for the University of Vienna. If you'd like Eastern Europe try Charles University in Czechia. If you prefer the nordic countries perhaps try Uppsala University. If the baltics are your preference then maybe Vilnius. If you'd like the Balkans try the University of Zagreb. If you'd like France try the University of Paris. If you want Germany try applying to study abroad at the Ruprecht Karl University of Heidelberg.
>all EU countries
>mfw
>t. A chudcel
Poland, Italy or the Czech rep would be my European choices
Mexico could be nice
You could come here to Australia but it's expensive as he'll amd our grading is harsher than yours
If you’re studying Classics then Italy, but for everything else it’s the UK. I don’t know why anyone would waste their time in a third rate university in some foreign country.
Why would it be a waste of time elsewhere?
> Classics Italy
that's literally only if you want to study non-Latin niche areas of history that took place on the Italian continent, like Etruscology or the Brutti, Messapians, and Apulians. and really if you understand Italian all the field studies are on the internet anyway.
The UK and Germany are the powerhouses for Classics and top unis in Canada and the USA aren't too bad either.
I recommend studying Classics, especially if you are from a rich family that can afford it and accept the fact that you may not immediately find a job in that field (though the point is to train your mind and mature you as a person, not learn a technical job skill).
No one's mentioned China but their university quality is quickly rising and they're really eager for foreign white students, so maybe that wouldn't be a bad avenue to explore ? Or play it safe with an Oxford's undergrad and a master's in one of the cities of China like Chongqing
What is with this board's obsession with Chongqing?
> Classics - Italy
> Arts & Humanities - UK
> STEM & Social Sciences - USA
Arts and humanities in the UK, but only if you're gonna go to a top university - otherwise it's a wasted degree. If you can, yeah, it'd be amazing to study something like philosophy at Oxbridge but otherwise it's a stupid amount of money for a degree that does nothing for you.
Czech Republic or Poland
I'd try the Netherlands but for the insane rent prices. Huge international student community that you can fall back on if you don't integrate with the locals. Barcelona is also an option, it has good unis and still in a southern country. Don't bother with Italy, their universities are terribly run, like legit the worst administration and organization you will find and the level isn't good anyway. Loads of Americans study in Germany or Nordics for the prices, but it may be too "globohomo" for you
>Huge international student community that you can fall back on if you don't integrate with the locals
Is that an issue?
Yes, 100%, I studied in the Netherlands but its the same pretty much everywhere in Europe, if not worse because the Dutch speak English better than natives. There is a local student community and then there is an international student one in these kind of places. The locals have already a set fraternity and friends group several weeks before set up, and these fraternities/sororities are nigh-on impossible to integrate in as a foreigner unless you are a perfect fluent speaker of the language. So "international" students from all over EU and beyond just tend to just set up their own circles etc. I still learnt Dutch to a proficiency level and was given credit for it but I only met Dutch people through courses. Sports too, the locker room banter gets hard to follow so often international students have their own sports team/groups.
If you go to an Eastern European country for example, you won't have as many international students around, you'll have to rely on the Erasmus group or learning the local language and that's it. Sure, you'll meet local women on Tinder who are curious about Americans, that won't be an issue. But your friends group will be limited if you don't go to a place where there are international people about. In the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, and a couple of other irregularities like Barcelona/Madrid, you'll at least find people who''l make you instantly feel welcome and the cool American guy abroad. Going to Eastern or Southern Europe because they are not "pozzed" or whatever other political shit or going to France because its the classic American abroad trope is just a gamble.
To be fair, it's extremely common for students from western europe to study in another country in western europe
Malaysia or Thailand or Indonesia, unironically
>Malaysia
lol nope, all the universities here are shit
everyone in malaysia who is reasonably wealthy sends their kids abroad to study
where?
australia, the uk, singapore, canada, europe, usa. basically anywhere that has reasonable universities that is not malaysia.
well connected malays get scholarships from the government for this
wealthy chinese pay for their kids to do this
if you visit any professional (doctor, dentist, lawyer etc) in a private clinic/rich company in malaysia they will always have their credentials on display and it will always include at least one spell in an overseas university. malaysians don't trust people who only studied in malaysia
Ljubjlana is really neat if you like a more cozy tight-knit experience + it's not too globohomo. slovenes are tall though so just a PSA
But honestly only America and Canada have the fraternity system, which I think is an amazing experience for a white man and lacking which europoors can only cope.
Better to just study in NA and join a frat and maybe do a semester abroad if you want an international experience, every college offers them
Idk about undergrad but I did a fully funded MA in China. Most programs are free since they basically hand out scholarships to attract Intl students and give them discounted food, free individual dorm room, etc. Idk about shittier schools but I did mine at pku. Most annoying thing is the bureaucracy as the administration can be very disorganized and you have to be a karen at times to get the info/service you need. The teachers are mostly western or western educated Chinese teachers, everyone has a PhD. They have different 'tracks' for Chinese students and foreign students which is to say you'll likely be in the hand-holding easy classes unless your Chinese is near native level or you elect to take the harder foreign teacher classes. You'll have a lot of free time to travel and do extracurricular stuff or just go clubbing if that's what you do. The uni will hold your hand to help you get a bank account, sim card, apps/cards for the subways and buses, trip to Ikea for dorm supplies, etc. during the initial two weeks. You also don't have to worry about meth heads, the homeless, bar fights, muggings, theft, or crazy people in general. No one cares if you're American or whatever. At worst you'll get stared at in suburban or rural areas or smaller cities. Sometimes they want a pic with you cause they never seen a foreigner, you can just say no "bu yao" and they'll stop. Daily life is pretty chill and there's lots to explore including Asia in general.
Interesting. How difficult was the application process and getting a visa? How did you find the scholarships, were they uni specific? How was making local friends from your fellow students, were they open to it or were you mostly friends with other foreign students? How was dating like? Is there a minimum level of Chinese you should acquire before even thinking about going?
lol cope, my race is relevant to the question and the latter two things aren't mutually exclusive
go to shanghai and date mid thirties rich women
Denmark or Sweden in terms of quality of education & life
