Polynesians and Melanesians are different people. When people in the West talk about Pacific Isanders, I assume its always about Polynesians.
I don't know much about Micronesians. A bunch of people from Kiribati talked to us at school about climate change though. Their country is sinking and they bought some land in Fiji to move their people over to here.
Well yeah. Most people just want to to a first world country and NZ and Australia is just next door. Why would you go anywhere else? Also , everyone from Fiji who I know went the the US lives in Sacramento, California.

The Mormon churches here always have basketball courts which no one uses because no one in Fiji plays basket balls. Also, most Fijians hate the mormon Fijians. Biggest denomination here is methodist.

One time, I flew on Jetstar from Melbourne to Auckland and the stewardess was this FAT pacific islander. So fat that she blocks the aisle. I sincerely hope she never works on a plane in an emergy evacuation.
