Store opening hours depending on district are abysmal. Opening later than default and even messing those times up quite often and closing earlier than the rest of germany too.
>has something for many demographics
You mean for every flavor of arab minority?
If you into nerdy shit like playing tcg/boardgames(you know like yugioh or catan) there's literally no location regularly hosting those. Same goes for anime/retro gaming whatever niche suits you, Hamburg won't have your back. Literally no place selling retro stuff and 2 merch stores for 2million is beyond dogshit.
That's hamburger. Hamburg is like a patty of minced meat in Japan.
Believe it or not hamburgers are not a thing there. The main thing to eat is fish sandwiches, matjesbrötchen.
There is this one unsubstantiated theory that claims Frikadelle was the precursor to the Hamburger. The claim is that Frikadelle eaten between two pieces of bread became popular in Hamburg, so outsiders started calling this combination a "Hamburger."
It's a rather bland and nondescript place. Rich, well-functioning, decent in all categories, with a typical austere Northern European flair. Depending on your personality and requirements, that can be a good thing. It's an ideal place to quietly make a lot of money. Better if you bring your own girl or if you are the relationship type. They don't have much of a hookup culture, German girls are big on serial monogamy.
The streets can get a little rough in the summer time. There is a lot of broken glass and dog shit on the sidewalks during the summer. On the bright side, the sidewalks are flat & smooth, not bumpy irregular cobblestones like you see in other European cities.
I went there in 2015, I was in a crowed street and I looked around ... I was astonished.
All the people around me were white and mind that there were a couple hundred people around.
A moment lost in time ... certainly the last occurence of an event of this magnitude in history, an instant that could never happened again in western europe
All I know is fuck HIV. Been there couple of times for footy, gotta be honest, not a great city. Looks pretty run down and seedy and the people are indeed not as friendly as I have met in other German cities.
Yes, it's a solid city with lots to do and has something for many demographics.
Also never understood the "Northern Germans are cold and asocial stereotype". Hamburgers in general are more outgoing than most.
yes, it's a solid shithole

cool so there's no homosexual man children who still play with toys as adults?
Wealthy, clean, functional. One of the best cities in Germany.
>clean
No place is as fucked full of graffiti and homeless crack heads.
Like a sandwich with buns and a meat patty.
Pretty good with chips and salad
