Travel only makes sense if you have lots of money to do certain activities, like scuba dive in the pacific to meet an octopus or some dolphins.
Or explore those giant Subnautica-tier underground caves they found in Vietnam. Or go see a volcano. Or ride a helicopter. While you're at it, just get a pilot's license and fly your own seaplane.
However, like you said, I would never spend money to "experience" another city or whatever.
