      Which states are flyovers?

        Anonymous

the ones not "on the coast"
        Fargo, nd
        Omaha, ne
        Milwaukee, MI
        Flagstaff, AZ
        Salt Lake, UT

all have fairly good christmas markets. Maybe not on par with the euro ones but meh, the one in Sapporo is still GOAT imo

depends who you as, generally it refers to central US, Midwest states and things about the US/mexican border states. Just google it

Flyover can be subjective generally it's referred to as the states between the east and west coasts.

Flyover literally begins at the airport... Go 15 miles west of Dulles and its redneck as frick all the way until you get to about San Bernardino.

On America I'd just say the Texas coast some of that panhandle in Florida and Georgian coast

The geographic feature of the Gulf Coast does but the cultural region of the Gulf Coast extends from New Orleans to Tampa, where South Florida begins. West of New Orleans is Acadiana, a very different cultural region and that extends to Texas where you have the South Texas cultural region. These all have different histories and migration patterns with the Gulf Coast being the fun zone of the "old south," Acadiana being french cajun ancestry, South Texas having a lot of Mexican influence and immigration and South Florida having a lot of cuban and caribbean influence.

It's actually pretty good, they've started treating it like a European one the past two years. Wouldn't be surprised if it keeps growing

      >Philly Christmas Market
It’s been getting bigger and the caliber of vendor has been getting better every year (and, and the coup de grâce: they’ve been pretty good at keeping the crazies out) but it’s not yet something I’d recommend people fly across the country to visit.

The German and Swedish societies in Philadelphia do their own Christmas markets as well, so hitting them all at the beginning of the month can help get you in the spirit.

The city is redoing the plaza with the game pieces, I bet it's gonna expand over there too

Christmas markets are irrelevant in a country with Ross, Wal-Mart, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Big Lots, Target, etc etc. If you want to buy some shitty Christmas decorations that were made in Bangladesh, you don't need to go to a Christmas market like you do in Germany. You just drive down the street and go to literally any big ass store.
