    i went to ipswich england
    its pretty shit town
    but the city park was nice enough
    the squirrels there were very friendly, would come to 1m from me i didnt even have food i was just standing where someone might feed ducks from

    I've actually encountered friendly squirrels in Colorado. Just up in the mountains somewhere. Can't remember which specific mountain, though.

    Also, I'm pretty sure that's a marmot in the picture.

      One of the first things I saw in Berkeley, California was a guy feeding squirrels who would climb on to his lap and shoulders for treats.

      The thing in your picture appears to be a groundhog/woodchuck, however; I only see them eating people’s gardens.

      I just looked up some mammal facts and have learned, much to my surprise, that marmots are considered ground squirrels. So are prairie dogs, among other animals.
