    I think it's still technically hurricane season, so a lot of rain. If you want pic related have you considered punta cana? Extremely touristy but the resorts and beaches are fricking awesome.

    I visited Mazatlan in October 2018, traveling via bus from west Texas. It was sunny, 30 C and rather humid every day. Nights were a little too warm for my preference; I was staying in a family-run hotel with no A/C a block from the city beach. 1050 pesos for a week, about 8 US dollars a day at that time. The malecon got pretty lively every evening, with people drinking beer and hanging out. Isla de la Piedras had a kickass tropical beach, with palm trees and little vendor huts and all that. Picrel is a rocky stretch of beach in the heart of the city, near the old fort.
