Convince me not o
You'll be branded as a bad goy if you want to go to the US afterwards.
I’m from the US, the government won’t like it but you can’t look me in the eye and tell that going to brown countries would unpopular here
You'll need to be chaperoned in Iran then, just FYI.
American citizens are on the naughty list, regardless if you are a tourist
Biden started giving benefits to any shithole that releases American prisoners so now every shithole has an incentive to round up any random American for any reason they want to get a few billion extra of sanctions lifted from (You)r government
not OP, if I as an American obtained citizenship and a second passport from a European country whose nationals aren't restricted by Iran, and entered Iran using that passport, would I still require a chaperone solely because I retain US citizenship?
also, might I face consequences if they discover that I'm an American holding dual citizenship?
If you were smart, you wouldn't rely on a website notorious known for shitposting and trolling for important information.
nah fuck it
I get what I get
it's only an issue if you're israeli/american (& possibly British), otherwise it's like anywhere else. and yes OP you should go if you can, it's awesome.

It actually seems to be a great place to travel to. The only reason for me to not visit it is that my ESTA would be denied and I would have to get a visa to US. As an american I guess the necessity of having a guide by your side is the only downside.
