Mexico has a ton of shit to do and is "relatively" safe in the more popular cities/tourist areas. More safe than everything in South America, at least.

      No LATAM country is safe.

Depends on what you want, I'd say Panama and Argentina but if your goal is to frick hookers then Colombia and Mexico are better.

Colombia is cold and full of crime, Panama is a better option to frick hookers of every flavor, dunno about Argentina, specially now that their economy is in the shitter.

This moron lived in Cundinamarca and thinks the entire country is a cold shithole. Colombia is actually one of the world's most diverse countries, not just racially but in terms of biomes as well. There's ice-covered peaks, rainforests, tropical lowlands where it never gets cold, and even a desert in the far north.

Medellin is in a mountain valley that is near the equator, but high enough in the mountains that it's nice and warm year-round. Locals call it "the city of eternal spring." As opposed to Cartagena, Barranquilla, and Santa Marta, which are right on the Caribbean and get blistering hot.

I was thinking of going there in July/August. What is there to do/see besides the Inca ruins? How are the food, nightlife, people?

        Anonymous

        Do you speak Spanish?
I particularly recommend the Chachapoya ruins. The summer just so happens to be the best time of year to go to Chachapoyas. Don't miss this oppurtunity.
There's also cool pre-Incan stuff in and around Trujillo and Chiclayo.
Islas Ballestas and Nazca lines are cool, but I wouldn't prioritise them.
The Colca Canyon is neat if you're into nature.
Ayacucho has a museum on the Sendero Luminoso, and outside of the city is the ruined city of Wari, and a little bit further is the Pampa de Ayacucho at Quinua.
Unfortunately I didn't go to Caral, Casma, Huaraz and Cajamarca. I didn't go to the Amazon either.
If you want to see Lake Titicaca, I recommend Copacabana in Bolivia over Puno, although Sillustani is cool.
Speaking of Bolivia, do yourself a favour and go to La Paz, take the cable cars to El Alto. You'll thank me. Also go to Tiwanaku since you're there.
If you're willing to go further into Bolivia, I recommend Potosí. I guess I have to mention the Uyuni flats, but I found it pretty meh.
Also, if you happen to be in the area, go see the Iguazú Falls, Argentinian side. Make sure you go to Paraguay to marvel at cars with Belgian license plates that have a little Dutch flag on them. Prepare to get your mind blown.
Jujuy province in Argentina is also cool, but don't go to Argentina only, you can't go to South America without going to the Peruvian Andes or Bolivian Altiplano and spending most of your time in western cities of central Argentina.
        >food
Cheap good food is unbelievably easy to find. Every second building you'll run into is a cheap restaurant (and the others are cheap hotels), look for signs that say "hay almuerzo" or "hay cena" or something similar. Lots of Chinese restaurants in Peru, they're everywhere. You have to drink Inca Kola.

            >By that I didn't specifically mean clubbing, but just activities to do at night in general. I like to avoid staying in the hotel as much as possible
Oh okay, sorry, but I still can't help you. I don't see the point of going outside of the hotel at night. I do my sightseeing during the day and I relax at night.
            >are they friendly, open to foreigners
I suppose, but I interacted very little with people, besides taxi drivers, waiters, hotel receptionists etc.
            >maybe get a beer or two
No, you will drink Inca Kola. This is non-negotiable.
Also, in case you're not aware, it's pretty hard to get used to the height of places like Cusco and La Paz, chewing coca leafs helps.

Look into PeruHop. Pretty cheap and gets you to all the major tourist locations. You buy a pass for around $200 and can hop on/hop off a coach that passes each location daily. You only need to reserve a seat a day in advance so if you like a city you can easily spend an extra day or two without having to buy new tickets. DO NOT get public cross country buses in SA. They’re mostly safe but take long routes very slowly which wastes your holiday time.

Clubbing in latin america is something else. Even the most respectable middle class girls will get way too into it once you start to perrear with them. They begin to dance on you as if they were raised in a brothel. For that alone, I think the experience of clubbing in latin america is worth it.

The word "perrear" itself comes from turning the word "dog" into a verb. It refers to the act of copulating like a pair of animals, which is crazy. That's how women dance over there.

I assume it's mostly just techno stuff but are there still Salsa clubs around or have they died out? I'm going to Peru in August and I'd want to at least dance a bit of it. I haven't been to a normal club though since I just became an adult.

There's plenty of salsa clubs around, don't worry. They can attract younger people, but keep in mind you may run into a lot of middle aged ones as well. Reggaeton places repel these sorts of people.

In the ocean, nobody knows your name. Underwater, your ethnicity is irrelevant. But not to me. Im floating on the ocean, me and my harpoon gun in my orange raft, and I've got my eyes out. I shit and piss over the side of the raft so you have no opportunity to catch me, unaware. My raft can go 17MPH. Can you swim that quickly? No? Then it's over.

Send your brown women to the coast before I drag them there by myself. Me and the sharks, we have a mutual understanding. I feed em, they feed me. That's the circle of life. Go on to your Iberian nightclub, and any other gay shop you frequent. I'll be just off the coast in my raft, with my harpoon gun, ready for anything.

No one has mentioned Paraguay because it's an obscure little country that doesn't really have any tourist attractions to speak of that you can't find elswhere. But it's a country that I personally find very fascinating because of its history.

      >Buenos Aires is almost as kino art-nouveau as Budapest
No, only in the wealthy neighborhoods of C.A.B.A. In Buenos Aires you easily find misery; the contrast in that city is one of the most lurid and dramatic in America; there are even slums in the middle of the city.

      >Food (world best meat)
It's true, but Brazilian meat is currently in culinary fashion

      >Virtually no violence against tourists
haha, lie: there are several records of crimes and robberies against foreign tourists.

      >Astonishing nature (from glaciares to salares)
It is not so, there are better options in terms of natural beauty in neighboring countries. Historically, the most visited National Park in Argentina is the one shared with Brazil: I mean the Iguazú Falls

      >Cheap (look for Western Union hack)
It is true but only in some services and products; For example, basic technology or the purchase of automobiles continues to be a luxury for the majority of the Argentine population.

      >Top tier women
Mutatis mutandis I refer to what was said in point one.

      >Not much historical attractions, with 0 Pre-Columbian stuff
      It's true.

      >Patagonia has a hellish logistics
It isn't true. Investment and "dedication" to tourism in Argentina is one of the highest points that this country has in South America. It is very frequent that tourists praise the level of management and professionalism of Argentine tourism and its operators despite the fact that it does not receive many tourists; I mean...it doesn't have the numbers or the same tourist class of countries like Mexico; which receives millions of American, European and Asian tourists. Argentine tourism is essentially regional (Brazilians, Uruguayans, Chileans, Colombians, Paraguayans and Peruvians) maximized by the Brazilian upper class that borders Argentina. I don't know the tourist figures for Argentina for the year 2022-2023 due to the "soccer world champion effect", but I suppose they are better than the historical average.

I went recently and you wouldn’t know it there. Just means outside currency goes further. Felt very first world, and people weren’t stressing. Just stick to the central districts of BA

Middle class latinas are about as close as you can get to a tradwife. If they’re educated and speak English, it’s like having an American girl but less entitled and uppity and toxic about politics

I'm moving to Bolivia, specifically the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. Never been to LatAm but I lived in Spain and speak semi-fluent Spanish, I mean like legitimately pretty advanced and have had multiple relationships with women who only spoke Spanish. What am I in for?

Whats the best Latin American country to coom in bros? I'm thinkin either Mexico, Colombia, or Argentina.

Honestly Colombia seems like the best bet given cheap prices and hottest chicks, but also seems like the most dangerous. I'd probably be covered in the end since I'm Latino and look the part so i'd blend it. I'm thinking of going the Sugar/Seeking route for cooming so no street shit.

You would NOT blend in, believe me. They have a sixth sense for foreigners even if they’re brown. It’ll be something about the way you dress, the expression on your face, the way you carry yourself in general.

Looks like they found this homie alive, after almost a month of having disappeared in Medellin. He was found wandering the streets in a daze. Likely a victim of scopolamine poisoning. Though he's survived, he'll probably never be able to live independently ever again. The brain damage will stay with him for life.

Definitely not the Dominican Republic. The women are easy if you're there. But they're all mostly hood trash. You can frick your way through at least a few hundred within a year if you'd like. But I emphasize to wear protection, the women are thick as frick tho.
