i dont want to learn another language
i can tolerate the shitty weather and shitty food here
Ireland
I use it to Enter Japan.
i moved here and theres no fricking way i move from here lol
this is fricking paradise
Where did you come from?
Where did you go?
Where did you come from, Cotton-Eyed Joe?
If it hadn't been for Cotton-Eyed Joe
I'd been married long time ago
hungary
Wasn't it difficult for you to learn a new language?
no, its very similar to english
the dialects, they can go to hell
i lived in sweden for a year, but gf is norwegian so we moved "home"
>the dialects, they can go to hell
If it makes you feel better, that was the common consensus in my 99% white norwegian school growing up too.
I actually kinda like that they exist now though it's like some nice extra flavor in random people you sometimes meet, just hated having to learn nynorsk.
i live in nynorsk county plus a bunch of norwegian "immigrants" with dialects from bergen trondheim plus the immigrants trying to speak the dialects, horrid
just speak bokmal goddamnit
my coworker cant understand his wife if she speaks to him in dialect
Small correction, bokmål and nynorsk are not spoken languages, they are only written. Technically someone speaking a dialect should write fully nynorsk without any changes for it to be "correct" and "professional", but of course if someone says e or æ that's what they're gonna type in an informal setting too.
I grew up west of Oslo, that's about as close to "speaking bokmål" as it gets.
I struggly with dialects sometimes, but it's not that difficult I just need slightly more time to process what was said. You get practice and it gets easier. I actually love immigrants with common norwegian dialects, that's assimilation level 100 and a lot better than kebabnorsk oslo tards acting gangster.
sometimes we get ppl visiting us from oslo, they are always refreshing because its easy to understand them
this is very very very strange for me because hungarian is fully and completely standardized, only really low class status or minor communities speak dialects, but they speak normal hungarian outside their social circle
i need zero time to process what any hungarian says, we actually make fun of ppl with dialects, speaking proper hungarian is important
Norway cares about local dialects because of the history of Danish imposing a foreign language as their prestige language instead of there being a prestige dialect of Norwegian.
we had 3 different conquerors impose their languages on us, dialects wont help you survive them, quite the opposite, you need a unified language that everyone can understand under any circumstance, it gives a sense of unity
> 3 different conquerors
Danes, Swedes, and...Nazis?
We never imposed swedish on norwegians we can already understand eachother with slight difficulty mostly on out side of the deal
>bokmål and nynorsk
This shit still makes no sense to me. How can Norwegian be one language but also be two languages at the same time?
Bokmal is Danish
Nynorsk is a standardized version of some native Norwegian dialects
They are, in practice, two different but related languages.
This seems like it would be quite difficult for a learner. You would have to constantly be checking to make sure what you're reading/listening to is the dialect you want to learn. That said, I hear it's a relatively easy language for native English speakers to learn.
>Proof

>This seems like it would be quite difficult for a learner. You would have to constantly be checking to make sure what you're reading/listening to is the dialect you want to learn
99% of everything you find will be in bokmål.
Yes. It's literally only a written language. See
It's not complicated. You just tell yourself: I'm going to learn bokmål, and then you ignore everything else. Once you know bokmål you could consider nynorsk too which I'd recommend to anyone planning to live west/north simply because it will help you blend in if you can also write in nynorsk, but you don't need to.
Interesting! If you have the time definitely check out that linked video in
I'm curious how a native speaker might judge his ability.
I actually just finished watching it.
He sounds almost completely native. I think his Ls sometimes sound slightly off when he is saying things like "like" "skole" "dollar", but it's only because I was actively listening to judge his ability.
He made a few minor grammatical errors, but honestly natives do that too sometimes if they are thinking while talking.
I rate 9/10. If I was told he was Norwegian I would not even think about it. If he lives here a few more years it will probably go up to 10/10 from practice and listening to other norwegians speaking and comparing it to hs own.
French people really seem to hate france. Never talked to a frenchman who spoke positively of his home country. It's sad 🙁
You have a beautiful language for a foreign listener though.
It really is incredible how good one can get at another European language provided your native language is also European.
I have showed my Japanese friends the best of the best Japanese-speaking westerners. Seems like people can get pretty close to perfect in terms of grammar and word choice, and VERY close in terms of accent, but a slight mispronunciation always gives them away.
Contrast that the English-speaking world, I have heard many Scandinavians that speak English as if they were born and raised in California.
I learned most of my English by playing MMOs and looking up words and asking family for help with sentences and asking what the things other people said means to communicate as a kid, and books as well a bit later.
I picked it up so fast and so easy that I never had to put in any effort in school and other kids were suspicious of me so I lied and said I had a private tutor because it was embarassing to be better.
I'm currently learning Japanese, it's a whole different ballgame.
I don't expect to ever sound 100% native with zero tells, but that's okay. I sure won't look native either way and I think most Japanese people will be very happy if I speak somewhat fluently even if it's a bit off.
At this point, some Europeans who grew up with the internet might as well be considered native English speakers.
Good luck with your Japanese studies!
>French people really seem to hate france. Never talked to a frenchman who spoke positively of his home country. It's sad 🙁
Frogs are inherently contrarian whiners. It’s in their nature to complain and to be dissatisfied with everything.
Pierre here malds when he sees a few Pierres (African) in his literal paradise alps village.
Picrel, a stark view of the French hellscape he describes.
Im not this self hater homosexual but some of us are bitter BECAUSE we love France.
We're sad because France was an awesome country with great cultures, food, music, people, History etc etc we let all of that vanish.
I left Paris for la Vendée and it's better sure but for how long.
IIRC 80%+ of materials are bokmal
It's like if Texan and Californian were written languages.
It's almost the same, who cares if some people write ikke and some people write ikkje? A few minor changes in how nouns and verbs are written at the end of the word, but it's basically the same vocabulary. If you can read nynorsk you can read bokmål. If you can read bokmål you can read nynorsk.
I like Finns though.
So it's just a written thing then?
They’re moronic anon, just file it under that.
said the guy who dont even have a language
Every computer has English (United States) and English (United Kingdom).
It may be the exact same shit except one guy says colour instead of color, but that's not very different from bokmål and nynorsk... Hmm... I think I just argued against myself.
Whether or not you meant it, that was very helpful.
It's just a little weird because both belong to the same country.
usa doesnt have an offical language dumbass. you can go there and speak kven if you want none can demand anything off you. american schizos love to say
>this is usa speak american
yet they cant define american.
bokmål and nynorsk are written languages and not dialects/spoken languages
>no, its very similar to english
Most English boat words are borrowed from Western Norse (=old Norwegian)
Did you consider other places?
We’re you able to make friends as an immigrant?
Nowhere. All of shitrope is absolute garbage especially eu member states.
>~~*Luxembourg*~~
Stop shitposting from the Illuminati work pc
bass du behënert?
Poland the country of the future
Switzerland isn't an option...
Probably France, since I speak French. I'd move to Lyon.
Poland the country of the future
That's Chongqing
>there's actually a city in china named chingchong
My sides
That's racist.
that's a funny way to spell Romania
poland EASY
kocham polskę! chcę mieszkać w polsce!
Southeastern France. Somewhere between Lyon/Marseille and the border would be Nice.
Fr*ncistan is arguably the worst and ugliest shithole in the west rn.
All of the shitropean union sucks. Its a poor shithole devoid of nature. I wish i was american or australian instead.
>australian
Aussies have free movement with New Zealand too. I hate spiders but Australia otherwise would be a great choice.
You have free movement anywher ein the us, its territories, its associated states and can move to asia and teach english in a heartbeat.
Meanwhile i can only stay withing the shitropean union. You do not suffer.
>Fr*ncistan is arguably the worst and ugliest shithole in the west rn.
You live in a literal noncountry.
He is right though, this place is basically congo with snow.
Its ugly af and filled with africans like the rest of this failed state.
t.lives in a village somewhere on your map
What about the Hautes-Alpes? Are they still pure?
I live right south if there. Its a disgusting shithole that looks straight out of haiti. This hellscape country should be nuked into oblivion. Theres no culture, no nature nothing.
I wish i could emigrate to asia or america.
You would get so much action from American b***hes with that French accent
No i wouldnt. I have been to the US for like 2 months or so already.
If eveyone agrees on how shit this country is then maybe that must be true. This language is arguably the most useless and gayest sounding on the planet. I have used german and italian way more in my work than french.
Lmao
You too, Nigel.
Literally dating on easy mode.
Except that he's right though the british accent is infinitely more attractive to women than homosexual frog throat garggling
American ladies cream for French accents.
>on a 1000 people
>not even half like homosexual french accent
Thanks for proving my point.
I wish i was a native english speaker and not a surrender monkey. At least i wouldnt have this shit accent and live in an african trashcan country.
Maybe Quebecois like a real Fr*nch accent.
Quebec is canadian so british
There is no general EU passport that gives you the right to live in any country you want.
But every eu passport exactly are like that dummy
No, they're not. You get to stay 3 months in any country you want but you don't have any right to just go and permanently stay in a country of your choosing.
Wrong, its extemely easy to move between eu countries, basically one of the most important rights for eu citizens. Ofcourse you have to register yourself to local authorities if you decide to stay and actually move in.
Anon..?
Shhh, don't tell him.
Otherwise you'll end up with a Finnish neighbor.
>Europeans have the right to travel and live anywhere in the EU
>no permission slip or visa needed
You literally cannot suffer in europe
You have the right to travel and live anywhere in the US.
Arguably it's not quite the same since we have way more differences in terms of culture, but you guys have a fair bit of culture too.
Be american
>can move anywhere in the US and enjoy paradise places with the best scenery, wilderness, hunting, fishing on earth and highest wages like florida, washington, hawaii and so on
Meanwhile
>live in the shitropean union
>can only go to misreable depressing shitholes without nature or anything worth it like fr*nce, lithuania or grimxemburg
Americans cant suffer
>Hawaii
Lmao. One of the most expensive places to live in the entire world. You might be “allowed” to move there, but you can’t just go. Not unless you want to live in a tent on the side of the road, that is.
Bulgaria, I've never been and I'd be exotic there
USA
Is there any little French or Spanish colony island, that has nice weather and innocent native women?
Tahiti
But all the native women are fat
Its an overpriced tourist trap for honeymoons. Also they will be independant ina few years along with the rest of the territories + corsica abd maybe elsass or brittany
Not here. Noone is allowed to move there except oligarchs and high ranking civil servants. The islands are expensive, deforested and the natives hate our guts and all want independance.
Spain because that's where most of my ancestry is from and I speak the language.
Monaco, and become a high roller casino gambler and live my life like a James Bond movie (in this reality I’m assuming I’m smart and women actually enjoy being near me).
Spain
To the Vatican City, ofc
Nowhere
>can go travel to any country in schengen
>never left my region
i don't know why
Money.
Free Time.
Finland or Sweden, whichever one is ruled less by israelites.
Italy
Switzerland.
Spain since I at least have a little Spanish education
nowhere because I can't handle anxiety of being an outsider who will never properly learn the local language
frick europe
I'm about to get my Romanian passport. Have no plans to move to the EU tho
>I like beer
>I like food
>I like bantz and humour
>I like travelling.
Germany. Easy access to everywhere. Germans are friendly. Lots of job opportunities. Engkish is widely understood.
I already have one.
I would live in Germany because I have family there.
